Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday June 11th 2004 "Hi Baby," Skeeter said as Ilona opened the door to Jan's Upper East Side mansion. "Oh Mr. Skeeter, so happy to see you," Jan's plump housekeeper said as she straightened her white apron on her broad hips and ran her finger through her thinning hair. "You're looking extra good Baby," he said purposely looking at her heavy bosom then back into her eyes as he enjoyed seeing her face predictably redden. "Oh Mr. Skeeter, come in", she said as he walked in and she closed the door behind him. "Is Jan here?" he asked referring to his estranged wife. "No, she be here soon," she said in her broken English. "Good. Would you do me a favor Baby," he said in his southern accent smiling coyly. "Oh sure, I do favor." "Do you know where Jan keeps the membership directory for that Park Avenue Society Club that she's a member?" "Yes, I know this," she said remembering exactly where Jan kept the list of high society contacts. "Could you get it for me. I want to surprise her with something," he said. "Hurry Ilona," he said as he saw her hesitate. "It's a big surprise for her," he said as he watched her quickly turn and walk towards the table in the hallway. "Here the book is," she said handing him a small blue book with gold embossed "Park Avenue Society Club," written on the front. "Thanks Baby," he said. "What's been going on in the house since I left? Has Jan had any men over here?" "Oh no. She waits for you to come home. She miss you. I miss you too," Ilona said. "I see Jan coming now," he said as he glanced through the window in the living room. "She be happy to see you," Ilona said. "Do me another favor Baby. Make us a couple of drinks would you?" he asked as the plump housekeeper smiled and walked towards the kitchen. Jan opened the door to her townhouse and stepped inside taking off her Gucci sunglasses and placing them on the table near the doorway. "Hi Baby," Skeeter said grinning. "Skeeter! What a surprise, are you here to stay or for a visit?" she asked closing the door and walking into the living room. She walked to his side hoping he would kiss her. "Just visiting and I have little business I want us to take care of today," he said holding the little blue book behind his back. "What's that? Has Amanda asked for more money again?" she said referring to the gay salesgirl she hired to work in his lingerie store. "Nope. This is our business Jan. It's time we wrap up some loose ends," he said as they walked into the living room and took a seat. "Drinks for you," Ilona said placing a tray with a martini and Bourbon on the coffee table. "Thank you Ilona," Skeeter said picking up his Bourbon. "Ilona get dinner ready now," Jan snapped as she picked up her martini from the tray. "What kind of business Skeeter?" she asked as she watched Ilona walk back into the kitchen. "I want the divorce now," Skeeter said. "No," she said frowning. "I mean it Jan. I've waited long enough. You promised me this house and everything under the sun and you never come through with anything. I've had it with you and your lies," he said. "Maybe you should behave like a good husband and I'll treat you like one." "You give me a divorce or else," he said as his jaw tightened. "No," she said turning up her nose as she sipped her martini. "How much do these high-falutin' women friends mean to you Jan?" he said holding up the blue membership directory. "They are the most influential people in Manhattan. How did you get my book?" "I found it on the table over there," he said nodding towards the table in the hallway. "Look at all these wealthy women," he said turning the pages of the book. "I bet you'd be real embarrassed if your husband called each one of them and ask them for a date," he said looking up to see her face whiten. "You wouldn't?" she said as she put her drink down on the coffee table. "Try me," he said standing up and starting towards the front door to leave. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
