Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday June 10th 2004
Skeeter heard the knock on the door and quickly walked through his Bleecker Street apartment towards the living room.  He opened the front door and was surprised to see his neighbor and ex-sister-in-law at the door.  "Hey Baby," he said smiling broadly at the voluptuous young blonde.
"You busy now Skeeter?" Starlene asked in her southern accent.
"Well I've got to get back down to the store in a few minutes," he said referring to his lingerie store on the ground floor of the building.
"Do you have time to talk just a few minutes?"
"Sure, come on in. Amanda's down there.  I can call her and tell her I'll be a few minutes longer," he said in his southern accent as he reached for his phone.
"Amanda's back?" she asked referring to the gay sales girl that his wife Jan had hired to work in her husband's risqué lingerie store. Amanda had quit recently becoming tired of being pulled into the middle of Skeeter's marital problems.
"Yeah, I let her come back."
"So Jan's still paying her?"
"Yeah, it's more money in my pocket since Jan's paying her salary.  Besides I think Amanda and I have come to an understanding," Skeeter said grinning.
"How's that?" Starlene asked walking into the living room as he closed the door behind her.
"Some of the women that come into the shop are gay. I think she might actually help sales. I don't have time to turn all the women around," he said laughing as he reached for his telephone.
"So you let her come back even though she tells Jan everything you do," Starlene said taking a seat on his futon sofa as he dialed the number to his store.
"I upped her salary, a little cash on the side that Jan doesn't know about.  I think she's loyal to me now," he said holding up his hand to indicate that Amanda had answered the phone. "Amanda don't leave for lunch till I get back.  Look, a friend has stopped by and I might be a little later getting back than I planned," he said hanging up the phone. "There... all done.  She'll watch the store. Want a beer?" he asked walking towards the refrigerator.
"No thanks.  Got anything else?" Starlene asked.
"Want some wine?"
"Sure," she said as she heard him filling a glass for her.
"There you go Baby," he said as he walked back into the living room and handed her a glass of wine. "What's up with you?" he asked taking a seat on the futon beside her.
"Skeeter did you tell Jan about Marco?"
"I might have mentioned it yeah," he said before taking a long sip of his beer and putting the can on his coffee table.
"Because you got me in trouble with Stanley."
"Look honey, I might have let that slip. Jan was braggin' about her old man seeing Lola and it kinda made me mad, so I told her about you and Marco.  Jan doesn't know that I told you everything she told me about her old man though.  I couldn't believe it myself when she said she walked into his house and caught him and Lola hot and heavy.  I thought you deserved to know he was cheating on you. I'm just trying to help you out baby. You wanted to know if Stanley was being faithful to you and now you know.  I don't go blabbing everything you tell me."
"Well, I don't want you telling Jan anything else because she tells Stanley everything."
"Of course."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, positive.  She called me and volunteered all this information."
"I think Jan was lying Skeeter because Stanley swears he and Lola weren't in bed and that Jan never stopped by his house."
"That really makes me mad.  She's playing me for a fool," he said as his eyes narrowed.
"What about you Skeeter? Are you still seeing Jan?"
"Not if I can help it," he said thinking about his estranged wife and Stanley's daughter.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, really.  Why?"
"Because Tiffany is ready to quit seeing you because she thinks you're seeing Jan."
"Looks like Jan is trying to set everybody up and get everything she wants, doesn't it?" he said frowning.
"It sure does Skeeter," she admitted.
"I'll take care of that," he said.
"How?"
