Starlene called out as she opened the front door of the apartment overlooking Bleecker Street. "In here," Tiffany said as she sat on the edge of her bed putting on her sandals. "I bought my wedding dress today!" Starlene said as she rushed into her sister's bedroom. "I thought you wanted me to go with you to try them on?" "I did want you too, but I just couldn't wait," Starlene said taking a seat on the bed beside her sister as she opened her purse and took out pictures. "Here's the one I picked out," she said handing Tiffany a picture of a long low cut wedding gown. "It's pretty. When do you get it?" "They're altering it for me now. I wanted it to be really tight through the waist so it would further accentuate my bust line," she said proudly. "Nice." "Yeah, I'm thrilled. I'm going to Tavern on the Green Restaurant tonight with Stanley and I really want to show it to him. I know I can't though. I don't want to bring bad luck." "He called while you were gone," Tiffany said reaching for her makeup bag on the table beside her bed. "What did he say?" "Just that he'd call back later." "What's new with you?" "Nothing. I've just been worried about my decision," Tiffany said referring to her telling Amir that she had reunited with ex-husband Skeeter. "I think it was a big mistake Tiffany. I mean you asked me what I thought and I told you the truth," Starlene said referring to their disagreement yesterday about Tiffany declining Amir's marriage proposal. "I know Starlene. I think you might be right. I didn't want to admit it. I've given it a lot of thought. I really do love Skeeter but he does have a bad track record." "Then call Amir and tell him you've changed your mind," Starlene said excited that her sister might have come to her senses in time. "I can't. I just can't. I have to give this thing with Skeeter a little time and just see. Otherwise, I would always wonder." "Okay, I have an idea then," Starlene said. "What?" "Call Amir and tell him you just want to think it over a little while and then give him your final answer." "It's really too late for that because I've already told him no." "Tell him you think it was a mistake... before it's too late Tiffany. Amir's a real catch!" "I know. I thought about that too but then there's this thing that bothers me about that." "What?" "What if Amir is really involved in some kind of terrorist group? I mean they have been investigating him." "Oh don't worry about that." "But how would I know. What if I married him and he was a terrorist or something? It would be too late then. He said something about us moving to his island off the coast of Tonga. I'd be a little afraid to do that under these circumstances." "I know I'd marry him if it were me," Starlene said as the cell phone in her purse rang. She opened her purse and took out the tiny phone. "Hello" she answered. "Starlene," Stanley said. "Hi Stanley. I bought my wedding gown today!" she said. "Instead of going to a restaurant tonight I'd rather have dinner at my house," he said in a solemn voice. "But I was looking forward to going to Tavern on the Green," she whined. "I think it's better we have some privacy," he said sternly. "Is there something wrong Stanley?" "We'll talk. I'm sending my car for you," he said. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
