Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 21st 2004 "No, tell him I'm not here", Starlene whispered as she watched Tiffany standing in the hallway near her bedroom talking on the phone with Stanley. "I just got home from shopping Stanley and I don't think Starlene's home," she said glancing at Starlene in the low cut black dress she was wearing for her upcoming date with Marco. "Do you think she'll be home soon?" Stanley asked from the back of his limo that was stuck in traffic on the Upper East Side. "I think she'll be home soon. She's probably just out shopping or something," Tiffany said as Starlene listened. "I'll stop by then. I have something for her," he said. "Oh I don't know if you should stop by or not Stanley. I don't know for sure if she'll be here," Tiffany said surprised by his announcement. "Well, you're home now and I'll just drop this off then leave if she isn't home by the time I get there," he said. "Here she is! She just came in," Tiffany said handing the phone to Starlene as she grimaced. "Hello Stanley," Starlene said taking the phone and walking into her bedroom to finish getting ready for her date with the new man she had met today. "Hi Honey. I miss you," he said referring to the fact she had recently moved in with her sister and left his Upper East Side mansion because he wouldn't commit to marriage. "Yeah," she said as she glanced at her hair in the mirror. "Is that all you're going to say?" he said disappointed with her lack of enthusiasm. "Yeah, I miss you too Stanley," she lied. "I've been giving a lot of thought to the things we've talked about," he said referring to her ultimatum about marriage. "Good," she said as she brushed her long blonde hair with one hand and held the phone in the other. "I'm planning on talking to Jan tonight and telling her about our plans," he said referring to his older daughter. "Oh, well I'm sure she'll say she hates me and that you should leave me." "You know honey, I've about decided I don't care what she says. I really miss you Starlene." "Me too," she said as she glanced at the clock and realized that Marco would be at the door any minute now to take her to dinner. "I'm on my way downtown and I'm going to stop by... I have something for you," he said glancing at the box he had gift wrapped earlier today. "Not tonight Stanley," she said. "We don't have to go out or anything. It's just a little something," he said. "No, it doesn't suit tonight," she said as she heard the doorbell ring in the living room. "It won't take but a minute Starlene. I want to kiss you honey," he said as the limo started to move a little quicker in the heavy rush hour traffic. "No, Stanley. I'm going out to dinner with Tiffany tonight. I promised her," she lied. "Are you sure? She didn't say anything about it on the phone just now when I was talking to her," he said starting to get suspicious. "Well, I am," she said as she heard Tiffany open the door and Marco introduce himself to her sister as he walked into the living room. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
