Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday April 19th 2004 Starlene knocked on the door to her sister's apartment overlooking Bleecker Street. "Tiffany it's me," she called out as she heard the footsteps in the living room. Tiffany opened the door. "Where are your keys?" Tiffany asked as Starlene walked in and Tiffany closed the door. "I think I left them here," Starlene said walking towards the sofa and taking a seat. "I was reading a magazine just before I walked out," she said pulling a stack of magazines from the coffee table. "Here are my keys," she said with a sign of relief. "Maybe you better get a second set so you won't be locked out again," Tiffany said taking a seat in a chair nearby. "Oh I enjoyed it," Starlene said leaning back on the sofa all dreamy eyed. "You enjoyed being locked out?" "I met this guy that lives in the building." "This building?" "Yeah, I was standing in front of the door searching through my purse for the key and he came down the stairs." "I don't know any one that lives here other than Skeeter," Tiffany said nodding her head towards the apartment next door where her ex-husband lives. "Oh you wouldn't believe it Tiffany," she said fanning her face with her hand pretending to be hot and bothered by the thought of the guy. "What? What are you talking about?" Tiffany asked grinning. "This guy is so good looking," she said rolling her eyes. "Well tell me about him," Tiffany said crossing her legs and leaning back in the chair. "I was standing in front of the door looking for the keys when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. He saw me and stopped, asking me if I lived here. He's so good-looking," she said fanning her face again. "Oh tell me," Tiffany said. "He asked if I lived here and I told him I lived with you and that you were out and I couldn't find my keys. So then he asked me if I'd like to go have coffee since I told him that I thought you were out shopping and would be home soon." "You didn't go out with a person you don't know, did you?" "Yes I did." "You shouldn't have done that Starlene." "How do you get to know people if you don't go out with them?" she asked frowning. "You should be introduced or something." "We introduced ourselves." "Oh well, tell me what happened," Tiffany said. "We went to this coffee shop over on Carmine Street, the Grey Dog's." "I've never heard of it," Tiffany said. "I hadn't either but apparently everyone else has. Anyway, he's really good-looking and guess what he does for a living?" she said gasping for breath. "What?" "Television!" "Oh really. What does he do?" "That's the best part Tiffany. He's a producer and guess what else?" "What?" Tiffany asked smiling broadly. "He looks for new talent!" "That's cool," Tiffany said. "Cool! It's more than cool!" "Yeah, I guess so," Tiffany said. "Well, of course. Think Tiffany! He's a talent scout and I'm an up and coming star," she said putting her hand on the back of her head and striking a pose. "Well, did he see it that way?" Tiffany asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
