Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday April 6th 2004 Tiffany opened the door to her apartment and stepped inside and locked the door behind her. She noticed Starlene's suitcases were still beside the front door. She walked into the living room and tossed her purse onto the sofa. She saw the wineglasses on the coffee table. She heard the water running in the bathroom and thought Starlene was probably in the shower. She took a seat on the sofa when she heard the bathroom door open. "Good morning," Stanley said. Tiffany quickly looked up to see her sister's older lover walking into the living room. "Good morning Stanley. You spent the night here?" she asked. "Yes. I came home last night and Starlene had left me," he said shaking his head as he took a seat on the sofa beside Tiffany. "Where is she now, sleeping?" "Yeah, she's tired," he said remembering the long night the two lovers had shared in the tiny bedroom next to Tiffany's. "Did the two of you patch it up?" "Yeah, I think so. I mean I did the best I could do," he said thinking about the passion they had shared last night. "She wants to get married Stanley." "Yeah. I know. I've got to make up my mind," he admitted. "Is she moving back into the house with you?" Tiffany asked referring to his Upper East Side mansion where Starlene had been staying for the last year. "Not yet." "Not yet?" "No. She and I agreed to see how we feel after this little separation." "You mean while she's living here with me?" "Yeah. I think that would be better." "Stanley are you going to marry my sister or not?" "I think so. But after this many years I want to be sure it's right. I need to talk to Jan and let her know what's going to happen," he said referring to his older daughter that had been married to Tiffany's ex-husband but they were now separated. "I guess," Tiffany said wondering how life would be with Starlene living with her. "How did it go with you and Amir? I see you spent the night in the hotel with him. It must have worked out for the two of you?" he said grinning as his eyes traveled her legs in the short skirt she was wearing. "I don't know. I don't know if it will work out for us or not," she admitted. "Well, look at the time. I better get out of here. I have a meeting uptown in a few minutes," he said glancing at his wristwatch. "Okay. I better get ready for work too. It's later than I thought," she said getting up from the sofa. "You go ahead. I can let myself out," he said walking towards the front door. "Okay, the door will lock when you leave," she said grabbing her purse and walking towards her bedroom. Stanley walked to the front door and opened it glancing at Starlene's suitcases beside the door and grimaced. He quickly walked out into the hallway and gently pulled the door closed testing it to be sure it was locked. He started to walk towards the stairs to go down when the door next to Tiffany's apartment opened and Skeeter walked out into the hallway. "Skeeter what are you doing here?" he asked his estranged son-in-law. "I think I should ask you that Stanley?" Skeeter said frowning as he realized that Stanley was leaving Tiffany's apartment. "I was with Starlene. Why aren't you home with Jan?" he asked referring to his daughter and Skeeter's estranged wife. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
