Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday April 2nd 2004 "Tell me what kind of security problem you have that would keep you on your island and out of the country so long?" Tiffany asked as she watched her handsome lover pour drinks for them. "My love, I wish I could tell you everything, but this not possible," he said in his broken English as he handed her a glass of wine. He took a sip of his wine and placed the glass onto a table in front of the window of the hotel room that overlooked Central Park. "I just don't understand. How could you stay on your island for months when you have Manhattan Gold International here," she said referring to his lavish spa in Midtown. "I have spa on my island too," he said. "I don't know Amir. This is a lot for me to believe. I mean I did see the pictures of that girl on TV that was sunbathing topless on your island. How am I to believe that there was nothing to this?" "I have only my word." "I don't know," she said shaking her head as if this was an impossible task. "Tiffany I tell you that I have problem with security." "Yes. But you aren't telling me anything more. I don't know if I can believe this." "If I tell you more... " he hesitated to continue. "Yes, please Amir," she said frowning. "I hire security men. They have ties with groups, the officials investigate," he said raising his eyebrows to imply there was a lot more than he was telling her. "You mean like a terrorist group or something?" she asked as her eyes widened. "This you can say." "Oh no! Did they investigate you?" "Yes, many times. Many, many times. I tell you this cause much how you say... grief," he said as he poured another drink. "Well, are they satisfied that you didn't have anything to do with these men?" "I tell you no more. I wish you no harm ever. I never live if any harm come to you," he said before taking a long sip of his drink. "Oh this is just horrible. I never thought of anything like this. I thought maybe you were in love with this woman I saw on the gossip show." "No. I tell you this girl, all... how you say... propaganda." "So you didn't have a relationship with her?" "Only friend." "I don't know Amir," she said getting up from her chair and starting to pace the floor of the hotel room. "I tell you she is friend and this upset you," he said watching her closely. "How do I know for sure? Tell me how? How can I trust you?" she said as tears started to roll down her cheeks. "I never lie to you." "No," she said shaking her head as she continued to pace the floor. "Then why are you so unsure?" "I don't have a very good track record of men being honest with me." "You speak now of Skeeter," he said referring to her ex-husband. "I guess you're right," she said taking a seat at the table again as she wiped the tears from her cheeks. She couldn't help but feel guilty that she was giving him such a hard time and she was guilty of seeing her ex-husband again. "Tiffany I have no right to ask that you wait for me. I only hope this," he said searching her face for answers. "It's been hard Amir," she admitted. "You fall in love with this Brandon?" he asked referring to the Broadway Theater owner that she was seeing when Amir had been out of town months ago. "No. He meant nothing to me. I haven't seen him in months," she said honestly as the cell phone in her purse rang. Her heart raced as she remembered Starlene's promise to call her if Skeeter stopped by her apartment while she was with Amir. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
