I miss you so much," Amir said as he opened the door to his hotel room for Tiffany. "I've missed you too," she said as he took her into his arms and held her closely. "I was beginning to think I'd never see you again," she whispered as he brushed her long blonde hair from her face and kissed her softly on the cheek. "Come in my love", he said as she walked into the hotel room and he closed the door. "I make you drink," he said walking to the table and pouring her a glass of wine as she took off her jacket and placed it on a chair. "Thanks," she said as she took the wine. She walked to the sofa and took a seat. "This is a very nice room Amir," she said glancing around the hotel room with a view of Central Park. "I notice nothing but you," he said in his broken English as he took a seat on the sofa beside her. "Why are you staying in a hotel and not at home? I would have thought you would be dying to get back to your house after so long." "Oh. Many things happen since I leave." "Yes, months have passed," she said unable to hide her resentment. "I could not help these, how you say… events," he said shaking his head. "I saw you on TV with that girl," she said referring to seeing him on a gossip show on New Year's Eve. "Oh yes. So much they say for nothing," he said remembering how the press had chased him around. "I saw the shots of her on your private beach too," Tiffany said remembering the pictures they had shown on TV of the beautiful young girl on the beach wearing only a bikini bottom and long hair draped over her arm. "I hope you believe me that this was nothing." "Amir how do you expect me to believe that? I mean you've been gone for months. You have only called me a few times and now you meet me at a hotel. You're acting like a man that has something to hide," she said frowning. "I know how this look. But my love I tell you I have explanation." "I'm listening," she said as she took a sip of her wine. "I have many problems." "What?" She asked frowning as she remembered the image of the pretty young girl she'd seen on TV sunbathing on his island off the coast of Tonga. "For some of these reasons…you must trust me," he said seriously as he gazed deep into her eyes. "Trust you! How can I promise to trust you when I see that picture of that girl topless on your island and I'm here in the bitter cold," she said flushed with anger. "Have ever I tell you untruth?" "No," she said shaking her head. "I tell you that I love you. I stay longer because of security problems." "Oh! I'm sorry. Did something happen?" she asked feeling embarrassed by her outburst of anger and distrust. "No, not yet," he said picking up his glass of wine and taking a long sip. "Oh no. What's wrong Amir?" "Security problem." "Security? You mean you had to hire new security?" she asked remembering his bodyguards when she first met him. "Problems come from inside security." "Are you in danger?" "Sometimes I feel this is true. That is why I stay on my island longer." "Then are we safe here now?" she asked glancing around the room. "Yes. Now we are safe." "Have you told the authorities?" "Police?" "Yes, the police. Have you told the police?" "This is problem," he said in a hushed voice. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
