Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday March 24th 2004 Skeeter heard the water in the shower turn off as he reached for the glass of wine on the nightstand. His cell phone rang and he quickly diverted his attention and picked it up answering "Hello". "Skeeter it's me. I was wondering if the modeling contract for the second billboard came through for you?" Tiffany asked. "No. They hired some other guy to do the next one," he said keeping his voice down as he heard Nicole opening the cabinets in the bathroom. "I'm sorry to hear that honey. I know you were so excited." "It's okay," he said listening to Nicole in the bathroom. "I know but you really wanted to do more of them. Oh well, not many men get to have even one billboard in Times Square," she said. "That's right," he said as the bathroom door opened and steam escaped as Nicole walked out wrapped in a oversized white bath towel. "I have an idea," Tiffany said as she flipped through pages of her cookbook. "What's that?" he asked watching as Nicole opened a dresser drawer taking out a bottle of lotion. "Why don't I make you your favorite foods tonight for dinner. The ones you loved the most when we were married," she said noticing the dog-eared pages from years ago. "Oh that's too much trouble." "No it's not. I haven't cooked for you since we got back together," she said as she turned the pages. "I might have an appointment later this evening though. I'm at a business meeting with an associate right now. I just can't be sure," he said as Nicole walked back to stand in front of the bed watching him. "Okay. Then I'll find the recipes and I'll make dinner for you this weekend. How's that?" "That sounds good." "I guess you're busy and can't talk?" Tiffany asked noticing his reluctance. "Yeah, I'm kind of tied up right now," he said as Nicole dropped the towel and stood in front of the bed watching him. "Okay, I understand. I don't want us to start off with a lot of pressure. You said I could trust you this time around and I'm going to really believe you," Tiffany said placing the cookbook on the bar in her kitchen. "Thanks," he said as Nicole poured lotion into the palm of her hand. "You do love me don't you Skeeter?" "Yeah," he said as he watched Nicole. "I want us to be honest. I have to talk to you too. I got a call from Amir," she said thinking he might want to cancel work and come over. "You did?" he asked as Nicole propped one foot on the bed beside him and started rubbing lotion on her leg. "Yes. I told you that I'd be honest about it. He called from his island. He's coming back to New York," she said waiting for his response. "I see," he said as his eyes traveled Nicole's bare leg. "I promised I'd tell you if I heard from him," Tiffany said. "I appreciate that. We'll discuss it this weekend." "Skeeter you aren't with someone else, are you?" Tiffany asked remembering the sound in his voice that had always made her suspicious when they were married. "No. I've just got business on my mind right now," he said as Nicole took her foot from the bed and put the other leg up to apply lotion. "Okay Skeeter. I said I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. Call when you get finished. Okay?" "Sure. I will," he said hanging up the phone and dropping it on the bed. Nicole glanced up and grinned as she watched his eyes traveling up her bare leg.
