Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 1st 2004
Tiffany and Starlene rushed up the stairs from the subway in Times Square.  They quickly walked towards Broadway.
"Look there's the billboard right there," Starlene said pointing to a huge billboard of Skeeter in his underwear.
"Look at him," Tiffany said smiling. "I can't believe my husband is in the middle of Times Square," she said with pride.
"
Ex-husband Tiffany," Starlene reminded her.
"Yeah, but you know what I mean.  I never thought I'd see the day Skeeter would be on a billboard.  This is just too much," Tiffany said laughing as they pushed through the crowds on the sidewalk.
"Oh look I see the TV announcer is leaving now," Starlene said as they looked up to see the TV crew getting into a van parked near where Skeeter was standing.
"Oh well, we can say hello to Skeeter," Tiffany said as they made their way closer to him.
"Look at all of the young girls," Starlene said as they saw a circle of teenage girls on Broadway.
"Do you see Skeeter," Tiffany asked.
"Inside that circle of girls," Starlene said. "He's signing autographs Tiffany," Starlene said noticing that Tiffany had quit walking.
"Maybe this was a bad idea to come here," Tiffany said.
"Why? You wanted to congratulate him on his billboard and see it with him," Starlene said frowning as a woman with a baby stroller almost ran over her foot.
"But he's surrounded by women."
"All the more reason for you to be here."
"Okay," Tiffany said as they once again started walking towards the group on the sidewalk.
"Skeeter, Skeeter over here," a girl screamed. "Skeeter can I go home with you?" another girl screamed.
"Oh Starlene this is a disaster. Skeeter won't be able to handle this," Tiffany said.
"We have to get closer," Starlene said taking Tiffany's arm and pushing forward through the girls.  "Skeeter look over here," Starlene yelled out.
"Hey Baby," Skeeter said smiling when he saw Starlene and Tiffany.
"See he's happy to see us," Starlene said as she and Tiffany walked to the front of the group.
"The billboard looks great Skeeter," Tiffany said as she felt his arm around her waist.
"Thanks Baby, I'm happy with the way it turned out too," he said glancing up to see his image above them.
"You got yourself a fan club here?" Starlene asked.
"Who are those older women?" one of the young girls asked in the background.
"Skeeter we were just getting ready to have lunch and wanted to say hi and congratulate you," Tiffany said as she tried to ignore the remark.
"I'd love to have lunch with you," Skeeter said.
"I don't think we can here," Starlene said as she glanced around at the teenage girls.
"Okay, then let's go somewhere else," Skeeter said. "My limo is over there.  The two of you go get in the limo and I'll be over in a minute."
"Okay," Starlene and Tiffany said walking away from the crowd toward the limo.
"Since when does he have a limo waiting?" Tiffany asked.
"I don't know, but I like his style," Starlene said as they approached the limo and the driver looked up to see Skeeter motioning for him to open the door for them. They quickly slid into the back of the long white limo.
"What's he doing now?" Tiffany asked taking her compact out of her purse to check on her makeup.
"Signing autographs," Starlene said.
"This will go straight to Skeeter's head," Tiffany said.
"Anybody would be proud. Here he comes," Starlene said as they watched Skeeter walking towards the car.
"Look at the photographer chasing after him," Starlene said as the driver opened the door and the photographer turned his camera towards Tiffany and Starlene in the back of the long white car.
"I hope we don't regret this," Tiffany said as she watched Skeeter get closer to the car.
