Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday February 27th 2004 "Hi Starlene," Tiffany said as she watched her sister close the door of the townhouse where she worked in Greenwich Village. "I was in the neighborhood and thought maybe we could have lunch," Starlene said. "I guess I could. There's nothing going on here," Tiffany said turning off her computer as she watched Starlene walk into the living room. "You're watching TV, that must mean that Clark and Nicole aren't here either," Starlene said noticing the gossip channel was on the TV next to Tiffany's desk. "Yeah, they're taping something in Times Square in front of MTV and I was just watching," Tiffany said turning the sound down with the remote on her desk. Starlene took off her coat and tossed it over the sofa then walked towards her sister's desk. She took a seat in the chair in front of Tiffany's desk. "How's it going honey?" Tiffany asked noticing that Starlene seemed depressed. "I'm disgusted with Stanley. I told him I wanted to get married and he says he'll give it serious thought. That's just not good enough for me anymore," she said referring to her older wealthy lover. "I don't know what to say Starlene. It has been a long time and you have been patient." "I think I might start looking around for someone else," she said shaking her head. "But you're living with him honey." "Maybe I should leave him." "Well you can't start dating other men while you're living with Stanley." "I know," Starlene said. "It just irks me so much that I'm in this predicament," she said in her slow southern accent. "It's not that bad. You just have to get a job then find a place to live," Tiffany said. "I don't know where I'd find a job." "Look in the New York Times," Tiffany offered. "They don't put modeling jobs in there." "No but you might find jobs as a secretary or something." "I don't want to do that." "You might have to." "I'll think of something. I've saved some money from my Playbody modeling job." "That's good Starlene," Tiffany said hoping to encourage her. "I was just wondering though..., " Starlene said hesitating. "What?" "I was wondering if maybe I could move back in with you if things don't work out for me and Stanley?" "I don't know Starlene. You know Skeeter is living next door now. I mean things seem to be heating up for us again," Tiffany said hopeful that she and her ex-husband Skeeter might have a new relationship. "Okay, well I see you don't want that," Starlene said jumping up from the chair and starting to leave. "No, honey!" Tiffany said seeing that Starlene was clearly upset. "It would be okay. I mean if things worked out for me and Skeeter then he's got his apartment right next door," Tiffany said smiling. "Thanks Tiffany. I don't know if I will or not but it gives me some leverage over Stanley when I need it," she said starting to walk back towards her sister's desk when she glanced at the TV screen. "Wow, look there's Skeeter in Times Square!" Starlene said. They both quickly looked towards the muted TV screen. Skeeter was standing in the middle of Times Square with the TV announcer. The camera panned up at a billboard showing a picture of Skeeter in his underwear then back to Skeeter. The announcer held the microphone towards Skeeter as Tiffany turned up the sound on the TV. "I just came down to see the billboard for myself," Skeeter said in his slow southern accent. "Mr. Diamond you have the lingerie store in the Village and now you are featured in the middle of Times Square. What's next for a man that seems to have everything?" the announcer asked as a group of teenage girls nearby screamed and shouted Skeeter's name. "That billboard looks great," Starlene whispered. Tiffany nodded and smiled. "Want to go to Times Square for lunch?" Starlene asked as they watched the TV screen closely. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
