Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday February 16th 2004 Tiffany turned off her vacuum cleaner and walked towards the closet near the front door of her apartment. She opened the closet door and pushed aside her coats to make room for the vacuum cleaner. She closed the closet door and started back towards the living room to finish her cleaning when she heard the front door of the apartment next door open. "That's strange," she said out-loud. "I haven't heard anyone in that apartment for six months," she said as she walked towards the front door to look through the peephole into the hallway. She didn't see anything so she turned and started back towards the living room of her apartment. She heard the door open again. She walked back to the peephole to glance out. Her ex-husband Skeeter walked out into the hallway and reached down to pick up a box off of the floor. "Well, I'll be," Tiffany said out loud as she watched him carry the box into the next door apartment. She watched as he came back out into the hallway and picked up another box and carried that inside as well. She quickly opened the door and waited for him to come back to the hallway for the other boxes. She heard his footsteps walking towards the front door and she ran her fingers through her long blonde hair. "Hey Baby," he said smiling when he saw her standing in the doorway dressed in her low rise jeans. His eyes quickly feasted on the cut off white T-shirt she was wearing. "Skeeter what are you doing?" she asked never smiling. "I'm moving in. I'm your new neighbor," he said grinning. "What?" "Just what I said Baby. We're neighbors now," he said noticing that she wasn't wearing anything under the white T-shirt. "Are you kidding me?" "No Baby, it's for real. I signed a lease. I've got to buy some furniture and stuff, but I've got most of my clothes here now." "What about Jan?" she asked referring to his wife. "I left her." "Oh. Does she know that you are moving into this apartment next to me?" "Not yet. I don't plan on telling her either." "Oh great! This is just great. Wasn't it enough that you work right downstairs under my apartment? Did you have to move in here next door to me now?" she asked as her voice started to rise. "Don't start getting nasty with me Baby. I had to have a place to live." "Does it have anything to do with the fact that you were cheating on Jan and she caught you?" "I never cheated," he boldly lied. "I saw you and Lola going downstairs into the basement the other night," she said referring to the celebrity he'd been photographed with recently. "Did you rat on me?" he asked as his eyes narrowed. "Rat? Rat to whom, Jan?" she asked raising her eyebrows in disbelief. "I know you don't like Jan," he said on second thought. "Did you tell the Real Estate people?" "No Skeeter. Why would I care what you do?" "Good. I'm glad you feel that way Baby. I hope we can be good neighbors," he said in his sexiest voice. "Couldn't you find another apartment away from me?" "Come on Tiffany. I was in a bad way. I had to leave Jan. You know how mean she is," he asked trying to look pitiful. "Yeah, she is mean," she agreed. "Want to see my new pad?" he asked motioning for her to take a couple of steps into his new apartment. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
