Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday February 2nd 2004 "Hello," Lola said into the telephone as she took a seat on the sofa in her Upper East Side apartment. "Hey Baby," Skeeter said in his sexiest voice. "Skeeter, I haven't heard from you in a while," she said feeling warm all over at the thought of the handsome southerner. "I've been a little tied up with some stuff. You know business and everything," he said. "How was Christmas?" "Great. Wish I could have been with you," he said. "Me too. But you do have a wife. How is Jan?" she asked. "I don't know," he lied. "What do you mean?" "We're separated," he lied. "Oh Skeeter. I'm sorry to hear that," she lied. "I hoped you wouldn't be too sorry to hear it," he said laughing. "Well, not that sorry darling. What happened?" "It was you Lola," he said. "On no, that's just horrid," she said. "I don't know why you think that's so bad." "Well, we were together only that once," she said referring to their first meeting when he took her to a midtown hotel under the pretense he would help her avoid the press. They ended up in a room and the press snapped pictures of them in the lobby and it made the second page of the tabloids the next day. "Yeah Baby but we did get it on that day didn't we?" "Well, yes," she said. "It was good too, wasn't it?" he asked sure she would agree. "Yes," she said feeling weak all over as she remembered their hour of heated passion. "Now we can have all the time we want together Baby," he said. "Are you sure?" "Of course. I'm sure." "Maybe we should be discreet Skeeter. You and Jan might get back together," she said thinking about the high society woman he had married. She had known Jan for some time since she dated Jan's wealthy father Stanley in the past. "Never." "How can you be so certain Skeeter?" "Because I've tasted something a lot sweeter now Baby. I can't ever turn back after you," he lied. "Oh Skeeter. That's so beautiful." "I'm ready to see you now." "Where are you Skeeter?" "In my store, "Next to Nothing", he said referring to his lingerie store on Bleecker Street. "Oh. And where are you living these days?" "Just staying with friends until I buy a place on Park Avenue," he lied. "You're looking at a place on Park Avenue?" she asked wondering if he might move somewhere close to her apartment. "A few. I can't decide between that and One Central Park," he lied thinking about the dirty sofa in the basement where he planned to sleep tonight. "How exciting," she said remembering his handsome face and smooth hands. "Why don't you come over to the store? You could see some of the sexy stuff I've got here. Maybe you could try on some of it for me?" "Well..." she said hesitating. "I'll lock the door when you get here Baby," he said. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
