Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday January 27th 2004 "Hi Starlene," Tiffany said surprised to see her sister as she closed the door of the townhouse where Tiffany works. "Are you alone here?" Starlene asked. "For now. Nicole and Clark went out for a while," she said turning off her computer as she watched Starlene take off her coat and toss it on a chair. "What's the matter honey?" "I'm so mad," Starlene said walking towards Tiffany's desk as her high heels pounded the hardwood floor. "Look at this," Starlene said throwing a folded tabloid newspaper onto Tiffany's desk. "What is it?" Tiffany asked as she looked down and saw the picture of Starlene's lover Stanley with Lola Rogers at the Blue Note Jazz Club. She glanced at the headlines and gasped "Lola stirs up the heat with old flame, Stanley Morgan." "See why I'm mad?" Starlene said taking a seat in the chair in front of Tiffany's desk as she watched her sister read the article. Tiffany quickly glanced back down at the newspaper and began to read. "Celebrity Lola Rogers was spotted last night at the Blue Note Jazz Club with her old flame Stanley Morgan. The couple was seen having drinks in the company of Lola's mother the legendary singer Mimi Rogers. This is the third Lola spotting in recent days. The scandals started when Lola was caught in a compromising position with the doorman of her Upper East Side apartment by a tipped off tabloid photographer. The second Lola spotting was with lingerie storeowner Skeeter Diamond as they left a famous midtown hotel recently. Last night she was spotted having drinks with the real estate tycoon Stanley Morgan. It's well documented that Morgan and Lola have been lovers in the past. There's no knowledge as to what transpired after the hot jazz session in the Greenwich Village Club. Lola's off stage performances are making her more of a celebrity than her famous on stage mother Mimi." "Oh wow," Tiffany said allowing the newspaper to drop onto her desk. "I'm so mad I could just spit," Starlene said in her southern accent. "I guess you are. But you know honey, Stanley really didn't do anything," she said. "He had drinks with Lola and her mother before he called me to come to the Blue Note and meet him," she said hitting Tiffany's desk with her fist. "You can kind of see how that happened." "You're defending Stanley!" "No. But I mean it's not like what Lola did with the other guys. That doorman and my husband Skeeter." "Ex husband. Skeeter is Jan's problem now," Starlene said referring to Stanley's daughter Jan. "But you know what I mean." "I'm furious. I can't stand that Lola woman." "I don't think you've got anything to worry about Starlene. I mean you're living with Stanley now. He and Lola were lovers a long time ago." "I hate her. She talked to me like I was some kind of backwards little nothing," Starlene said remembering the encounter. "But Stanley loves you," Tiffany said. "Yeah, but he seems to be enjoying all of the attention." "How's that?" "Those old rich men he's friends with have all been calling. You should see him laughing when he talks on the phone. I can tell he's enjoying this. How do I know he won't see her again?" "She was seeing Skeeter wasn't she? They were photographed leaving the hotel and you told me that Skeeter admitted that they did it," Tiffany said. "Yeah, that's true. But how do I know that Stanley won't do it too just for the fun of it," Starlene asked. "I guess you better hope Lola and Skeeter keep hitting it off. But then Jan will certainly make Skeeter's life hell. This could be very interesting," Tiffany said trying not to allow her pleasure to show. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
