Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday January 13th 2004 Skeeter walked towards the door of the hotel room when he heard the elevator open. He stood at the door and listened for the faint knock he was expecting. He quickly opened the door to the celebrity Lola Rogers and smiled. "Come on in Baby," he said holding the door open as she slipped in and he closed the door quickly. "How did it go? Did anybody see you coming in?" he asked. "No," she said laughing nervously. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this," she said taking off her mink coat and tossing it on the bed. "You aren't a murderer or anything are you Skeeter?" "No, I'm a lover though," he said grinning seductively. "Oh, I bet you are." "Calm down Baby. You've been through a lot lately." "Of course, you're referring to the picture of me with my doorman that made headlines a few days ago," she said as her face reddened slightly. "You looked great. I'd give up my business to be your doorman," he said putting ice into glasses as he glanced at the mini bottles in the bar. "Thanks. I'll take a rum and Coke," she said kicking off her high heels. "So what kind of business are you in Skeeter?" "I have a lingerie store on Bleecker Street." "Oh, I saw on TV a few weeks back that a new store opened there," she said having seen only a few clips of the opening. "That's my store, 'Next to Nothing'", he said proud of the clever name. "Nice. You had quite a turnout and the publicity was incredible." "Yeah, it was a nice little opening," he said pretending to be modest. "Owning a lingerie store you must meet a lot of women," she said taking the drink he offered her. "Yeah, but never any like you," he said holding up his glass to a toast. "Oh really, you flatter me," she said as they toasted and took a sip of their drinks. "I've always wanted to meet you. Your mother was really a big star," he said referring to her Mother Mimi Rogers who was a famous singer. "Yes, it's been difficult being the daughter of a famous woman." "I bet it has. You probably never knew who you could trust." "Yes," she said nodding before taking a sip of her drink. "Then to get hooked up with somebody like Stanley. What a coincidence that I'm married to his daughter Jan," he said pouring them another drink. "You know it's really hard for me to imagine you married to Jan Morgan," she said feeling a rush after the strong drink he had mixed for her. "It's hard for me to imagine too sometimes." "I'm sure she loves having you as a husband," she said admiring his masculine physique and thick dark hair. "I've tried, but it hasn't always been the right thing." "You aren't happy are you?" she said walking towards the bed and taking a seat. "Jan and I don't really have anything in common. I'm lonely, if you know what I mean?" he said trying to look sad. "Oh poor baby," she said leaning back on the bed. "Your drink is almost empty," he said getting up and walking towards the bed to take her glass. "I feel it already," she said referring to the liquor. "I do too Baby," he said taking her glass and putting it on the table. "It was meant for us to be together. Two lonely people," he said as he sat down on the bed next to her. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
