Its World Premiere was in San Diego at La Jolla Playhouse on October 15th 2000.

Twentieth Century Previews Early 2004

"Twentieth Century" is a new adaptation by Ken Ludwig of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's comedy. "Twentieth Century" is the funny story of Oscar Jaffe, a successful Broadway producer who has transformed a chorus girl, Lily Garland, into a star. As she rises to Hollywood, he downturns into bankruptcy. Oscar boards the Twentieth Century Limited train and bumps into her again, where he tries to convince her to return for another show.

The Violet Hour Opened November 6th 2003
