A professional dancer comes to New York and attempts to prove his worth to his fiancée's Father by trying to earn $25,000 by any means except dancing. With Noah Racey, Nancy Lemenager, Karen Ziemba, Peter Bartlett, Peter Gerety, David Pittu, Deborah Leamy, Philip LeStrange, Ron Orbach, Eugene Fleming, and Deidre Goodwin. The 1936 film "Swing Time" starred Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Nine Opened April 10th 2003- Closed December 14th 2003 Eugene O'Neill Theatre, Tickets 230 West 49th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue; $40-$100; Tue, Thu-Sat 8 PM; Sat, Sun 2 PM; 2 Hours 30 Minutes; One Intermission; This Roundabout Theatre Company Production of this 1982 Musical Revival is a story of an Italian film director, Guido Contini, who is under contract to write and direct a film for which he cannot find a suitable plot. On the verge of a breakdown, he examines his failures in life with many women and tries to act his age of 40, instead of Nine. He is the sole male actor in this musical. John Stamos as Guido Contini, Rebecca Luker as Claudia, Sara Gettelfinger as Carla, Mary Stuart Masterson as Luisa, and Eartha Kitt as Liliane La Fleur are all featured in this musical revival. With Nell Campbell as Lina Darling, Jacqueline Hendy as Our Lady of the Spa, Marni Nixon as Guido's Mother, Saundra Santiago as Stephanie Necrophorous, Myra Lucretia Taylor as Sarraghina, and William Ullrich/Anthony Colangelo as Little Guido. Directed by David Leveaux, Book: Arthur Kopit; Composer and Lyrics Maury Yeston (Italian adapted by Mario Fratti); Jonathan Butterell is choreographer. "Nine" originally opened at the 46th Street, Richard Rodgers Theatre on May 9th 1982.
Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All Opened November 17th 2003 Longacre Theatre, Tickets 220 West 48th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue; $46-$76; Tue-Fri 8 PM; Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; 2 Hours 10 Minutes; One 15 Min. Intermission; Ellen Burstyn stars in a new play by Martin Tahse. The novel is by Allan Gurganus. A one-woman drama of the life of a Confederate captain's wife offering a perspective on that time period in American history. Director: John Scardino; Settings: Allen Moyer; Costumes: Jane Greenwood; Lighting: Kenneth Posner. The World Premiere of this play took place in San Diego at the Old Globe on February 1st 2003.

Director and Choreographer: Susan Stroman. Music and Lyrics by Mel Brooks. A downtrodden theatrical producer and his accountant scheme to raise extra cash for a Broadway flop and plan to split the difference.

"The Retreat From Moscow" is a story of a marriage that should have lasted, but the husband walked out one weekend suddenly leaving the son to pick up after him. Director: Daniel Sullivan. It is the story of a world famous artist and his battle with his ex-lover, and her current husband, over the ownership of the portrait he painted of her years ago.
Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks Opened October 29th 2003 Belasco Theatre, Tickets 111 West 44th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. $25-$80; 2 Hours 1 15 Minute Intermission; Tue - Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; Richard Alfieri's new play starring Polly Bergen as "Lily Harrison" and Mark Hamill as "Michael Minetti" (of Luke Skywalker fame from the original movie "Star Wars"). A Florida retiree has hired a dance instructor for six weeks. She is dismayed at first with the instructor, but soon finds they have much in common. Director: Arthur Allan Seidelman; The film rights have been optioned by Universal, and the play has proven to have worldwide interest.
