2 oz. Walnuts
1 small onion
1 small red pepper
4 tablespoons oil
12 oz. Cooked chicken, cut in strips
1/2 pint stock
1/2 oz. Corn flour
1 level teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons sherry
5 oz. Can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
Cooked rice

Fry the coarsely broken walnuts, sliced onion and sliced red pepper in the oil until the onion and pepper are tender, but not brown. Stir in the chicken and add the stock.  Mix the corn flour and sugar together smoothly with the soy sauce, add to ingredients in pan and simmer gently for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.  Add the sherry and water chestnuts and warm through. Serve hot with cooked rice, either boiled or fried. Serves 4.
