The poet William Cullen Bryant had the idea for Central Park back in 1857. Before the development of Central Park, the land was an ugly, swampy wasteland inhabited by pigs and goats. Today the beauty of Central Park is the subject of poetry, movies and novels. On today's photo tour we'll show you a few of the sights of the 843 acres of Central Park.
