On today's photo tour we will show you some of the pretty sights along the East River of NYC.
Top right picture you see the United Nations and the FDR Drive that runs alongside the East River. The entrance to the UN is on First Avenue between 45th and 46th Streets.
Center right picture you see 42nd Street as seen from Tudor City. If you walk west about seven blocks from here on 42nd Street you'll be in Times Square. To the right in the distance you see the Chrysler Building.
Bottom right picture you see Tudor City as seen from 42nd Street. The United Nations is almost directly behind Tudor City. Tudor City was built in the mid-1920's. Unfortunately, there are almost no windows on the East Side due to the fact the builders wanted to hide the slaughterhouses that existed at that time before the UN was built.
