Sometimes things that are new or different seem a little weird until you get used to seeing it everyday. This could also be called trend setting. Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village is one of those places where trends start.
Top right picture you see a very close up shot of the arches of Washington Square Park. In the distance is Fifth Avenue which is a rather dignified area of the city. Today we are focusing the daily photo tour on the other side of the arches.
Center right picture you see a typical afternoon around the arches of Washington Square Park. As you can see gender can be difficult to determine. It doesn't matter, most people don't notice or care.
Bottom right picture you see Waverly Place which runs besides Washington Square Park. In the far distance you see the Washington Square Hotel. Bob Dylan lived here and performed in Washington Square Park for money. As we all know it worked out for Bob. Today you'll see many young and old musicians working the park.
