Downtown New York City has always been a very popular sight for touring. After the tragic events of 9/11, it's one of the most heavily visited areas of the city.
Top right you see "The Sphere". This sculpture by Fritz Koenig stood in the plaza of the World Trade Center for years as a symbol of world peace. After withstanding the attacks of 9/11 "The Sphere" has moved to Battery Park as a memorial to the event. It's a little beat up, but so is our world peace at the moment. "The Sphere" survived and so did the hope for peace.
Center right picture you see the Municipal Building. If you continue to the right you would cross the Brooklyn Bridge.
Bottom right picture you see Nassau Street on a quiet Sunday morning. Traffic is closed off on Nassau Street during the week and the shoppers take over. Nassau Street is lined with stores and restaurants. It's also blocks away from South Street Seaport and Wall Street.
