Daily Photos for 03/15/2002 : Inside St. Patrick's Cathedral, Parade, 5th Ave. Irish
Top right picture you see another look at last year's St. Patrick's Day parade up Fifth Avenue.
Center right picture you see a distant shot of Fifth Avenue on a normal day. That's Trump Tower in the far distance and St. Patrick's Cathedral beside the tower. On St. Patrick's Day people not only wear green but they color their hair green. The bars are packed all day long as they pour plenty of green beer to happy Irish people and Irish wanna-be's.
Bottom right picture you see a shot inside of St. Patrick's Cathedral during a quiet day. This is one of the most beautiful churches in the city. St. Patrick's Cathedral was built in 1853 and it was the first example of Gothic Revival ecclesiastical architecture in the United States. Click here for the next page on today's photo tour.
