Downtown Manhattan has certainly had its share of attention since September 11th. Unfortunately most of the attention has been on the tragedy instead of all of the wonderful attractions.
Downtown is filled with beautiful and historical buildings. Top right you see Trinity Church as seen from Wall Street. This Episcopal church was founded by a charter granted by King William III in 1697. The World Trade Towers once stood almost behind this beautiful church. It's truly a miracle it's still here and in perfect shape. By the way, the Wall Street Christmas tree is extra special this year and we'll be showing it to you very soon!
Center right picture was taken in Battery Park. You can see the skyline of the city in the background. Just behind the art is the "Hope Garden".
Bottom right picture was taken at South Street Seaport. You can shop in the mall on the pier then have lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants overlooking the great views of the skyline. Click here for the next page on today's photo tour.
