Oggi means today in Italian. Today we'll give you a photo tour of the most popular street in Little Italy, Mulberry Street. Little Italy was populated by Italian immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island back in 1880 to 1920's. Most of the immigrants came from southern Italy and Sicily. Today you'll still see residents that have lived in this wonderful Italian neighborhood for many years operating restaurants that have made the area famous.
Top right picture you see the Empire State Building as seen from Mulberry Street.
Center right picture you see people enjoying lunch on the sidewalk of Mulberry St. The prices for lunch in Little Italy are very reasonable and the choices of restaurants are almost endless.
Bottom right picture you see a long shot of Mulberry Street. Click here for the next page on today's photo tour.
