Since the September 11th terrorist attack most store walls in downtown NYC are covered with pictures of the thousands of our neighbors that were victims to the terrorist attack. But that just isn't enough for so much grief...Union Square Park has been completely taken over by mourning New Yorkers.
Top right you see the statue of George Washington at dusk in Union Square Park.
Center right picture you see a small portion of Union Square Park and the thousands of New Yorkers that have come to place flowers and signs at the memorial. Seeing the pictures of the victims puts a real face and name on the numbers we hear and read.
Bottom right picture you see another small section of the large park where candles are always burning and tears are ever flowing. It's very difficult to walk through this memorial and not cry when you see pictures of so many innocent people that died so senselessly.
