The area between 14th and 30th Streets west of Sixth Avenue is called Chelsea. This area has become very fashionable in the past few years with many young professionals and businesses moving in. The city doesn't have but so much room to grow so older neighborhoods get new life.
Top left picture you see The Limelight Nightclub on 6th Avenue. This club at one time was a church. The dark hallways now are filled with smoke and music.
Top right picture you see 6th Avenue in the 20's. In the last couple of years many well known stores such as Filene's Basement, TJ Maxx and Bed Bath and Beyond have moved in here.
Center right picture you see 7th Avenue in Chelsea.
Bottom right picture you see West 14th and the area of the old meat packing district that is now the high rent district.
