Take a walk on 42nd Street and you'll find some very famous sights.
Top left picture you see the New York Public Library in the distant center of the picture beyond Bryant Park. The New York Public Library is the second largest research library in the country after the Library of Congress.
Top right picture you see one of the prettiest buildings in New York, the Chrysler Building. The Chrysler Building is visible in the skyline along 42nd and from Bryant Park. The Chrysler Building is designed to resemble a car. On the fourth level there are huge radiator cap gargoyles. The Chrysler Building was the tallest building in the world when completed in 1930. The Empire State Building opened in 1931.
