The East Side has a lot of modern high rises too. Top left picture you see Second Avenue on the East Side.
One great thing about the East Side is that's where you'll find most of the great museums. Top right picture you see the JP Morgan Library on Madison Avenue.
The East Side also has the largest library too. Center right you see the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue in Midtown.
The East Side is very civilized. You see business people, shoppers in expensive clothes, tons of limos and great restaurants. Central Park covers 840 acres of New York City and the Central Park Zoo is located on the east side of Central Park. (picture of the Central Park Zoo bottom right).
