It happens almost everyday when you live in New York…movies are produced on the city streets. You might walk out of your building one morning to find the block has been transformed to the 1940's. When movies are made every detail is carefully scripted from the cars on the streets to the license plates on the cars.
Top left picture you see movie equipment on 72nd Street where this day they were filming the movie "Down to Earth", starring Chris Rock.
Top right picture you see the Dakota on the other end of 72nd Street near Central Park. It's quiet on this end of the block and they probably are unaware of a movie being made today.
Center right picture you see the buildings next door to the Dakota. The Dakota is another West Side story, this is where the Beatle, John Lennon lived and was shot to death outside.
Bottom right picture you see Hunan Park on Columbus Avenue. Walk through these doors and you'll see lots of photos of many famous people that have dined in this great Chinese restaurant.
