When you walk the streets of Greenwich Village you stroll by many famous places. Today we are showing you a few distinctly Greenwich Village places.
Top left is Ye Waverly Inn at 16 Bank Street, which was built in 1844 and served as an inn for travelers. Today Ye Waverly Inn is one of New York's finest restaurants. The owners, Dick and Jane, have recently restored the beautiful inn. Ye Waverly Inn is the best of Greenwich Village...friendly warm staff, exquisite food by Chef Patrick Haynes and fine wines all enjoyed by romantic fireplaces in a charming old inn.
Top right is a picture of the arches of Washington Square Park which is close to Readio Headquarters.
Top center right picture you see one of the pretty tree lined streets of the village.
Next center right picture is of the Jefferson Market Library which was built as a courthouse in 1877. You see many local Greenwich Village people here especially on rainy days.
Bottom right picture is Balducci's located across the street from the library. This is New York City's most famous gourmet food store. Balducci's is where everyone shops for those great New York cheesecakes, fruit baskets, cheeses, and the best gourmet foods. During the Holiday Season, the line forms around the block to get into Balducci's. You don't have to wait in line, we're happy to say, now you can shop at Balducci's too in Readio's own
