Thank you for your interest in Readio.com!
Readio started in 1998 with the ambition to help the homeless and share New York City with out of town family and friends through photography.
Readio's most important purpose is to help bring awareness of the problems facing homeless people through our daily photography tours of NYC and Readio photo galleries (see Click and Save). Readio gave a percentage of all monthly revenue to the National Coalition for the Homeless for over 7 years. The NCH works for the homeless throughout the country. Therefore you were helping the poor in your hometown when you booked a hotel, bought Broadway show tickets, purchased items through our pages, donated, or, advertised on Readio. The Internet is a powerful tool used by people that have the means to help the most needy worldwide. If everyone that surfs the World Wide Web did just a little to help we could easily save lives and improve living conditions for many families.
Readio is located near Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village New York City. The staff of Readio works and lives in the greatest and most exciting city in the world. Through the photos on Readio we hope to share with you the experience of daily life in New York City. It's our hope that you can sample the best of NYC life in Readio's guides for Broadway theater, restaurants, daily recipes, museums, art galleries, clubs and hotels. We hope to entertain our readers with New York City fiction imitating life in our original daily soap opera "As the Mouse Moves".
Readio Staff members are advocates for the National Coalition for The Homeless. Memberships include the New York Press Club, and Chef de Cuisine Association of America.
We thank our loyal daily readers and enjoy letters and suggestions. Write to: Webmaster@readio.com
