1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon coconut flavoring
1 cup milk
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. In a large bowl, cream the shortening and butter with the sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add flavorings and remaining liquids. Fold in the coconut. Place mixture in greased tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours.
Powdered Sugar Icing
Mix 1 part water and 3 parts confectioners sugar for icing which is optional.
