Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday December 16th 2003 "Vinny you work for Nicole's Father down in Florida, don't you?" Skeeter asked watching Vinny as he sat beside Starlene on the sofa in his lingerie store. "Yeah. That's right. I worked down there for a long time with Nicole's old man. I been back here in New York City, since Nicole came back," he said as he kept his eyes on Starlene's bosom in the low cut sweater she was wearing. "Nicole's old man has quite a business down there doesn't he?" Skeeter asked remembering the times he'd heard Nicole talk about her mob boss father. Skeeter thought about the many times that he and Nicole had sneaked up to her apartment to share a day of passion while her husband Clark was on sales calls. "Yeah, you know Nicki don't you?" Vinny asked. "Yeah, I know Nicole," Skeeter confessed. "How's she doing with her husband?" "About the same I guess. She ain't never going to be happy I don't think. Some women just ain't got it in em' to be happy with one man," Vinny said eyeing Skeeter closely. "It ain't easy being married," Skeeter said leaning back in the chair watching Vinny's fingers touch the hem of Starlene's short skirt as she sat beside him on the sofa. "I know I could be happy if I had the right woman," Vinny said looking at Starlene. "Oh Vinny, you've never been married. How would you know?" "Cause I do," he said. "The two of you make a cute couple," Skeeter said watching them. "I've been trying to get Starlene to dump that old man and marry me," he said. "Vinny, please," she said feeling a rush as his fingers touched her thigh. "I was just telling Starlene that she needs to force the issue with Stanley. If he doesn't want to marry her she should move on." "See there," Vinny said kissing Starlene lightly on the cheek. "Starlene, you better start listening to what men tell you," Skeeter said. "I've got time to make up my mind," she said in her southern accent. "I've been warning her myself. I think she needs to issue Stanley an ultimatum. If he doesn't want to commit she needs to get her share of his loot and move on," Skeeter said lighting a cigarette. "You married Stanley's daughter Jan didn't you?" Vinny asked. "That's right and see what all I've got now?" Skeeter said waving his hands around his lingerie store and the lingerie on the racks nearby. "You did okay for yourself I guess," Vinny said. "Jan hasn't got nearly the dough her old man has either. If Starlene married him she'd be set for life," Skeeter said. "If Starlene married me she'd be set for life and I'd keep her happy too," he said eyeing her lustfully. "Oh, you're embarrassing me Vinny," she said clearly enjoying his attention. "Look you two, if you want to be alone I've got a room set up down stairs in the basement," Skeeter said motioning his head towards the back of the store. "You do Skeeter?" Starlene asked surprised. "Yeah, but don't tell anyone. I mean Jan doesn't know about it," he said remembering the many hours he'd spent down there with a few of the customers. "What about that sales girl of yours, doesn't she know?" Starlene asked. "No. I tell her I'm walking out into the garden back there for a smoke. Then I go downstairs. It's really nice. Want to see it?" Skeeter asked. "Sure," Vinny said hoping Skeeter would leave the two of them there for the evening when he went home. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
