Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday December 10th 2003 Skeeter opened the door to the townhouse and walked into the living room. He glanced around to see Ilona the housekeeper rushing down the hall towards him with a very serious expression on her face. "Hey Ilona Baby, how you doin?" Skeeter asked tossing his coat over a chair and walking towards the sofa taking a seat. "Miss Jan comes home," Ilona said in her broken English. "Already?" Skeeter asked glancing at his watch as he heard his wife's footsteps coming down the stairs. "Hey Baby," he said turning to smile at his wealthy wife. "Skeeter I think we have some things to straighten out tonight," Jan said walking towards the sofa and standing in front of him peering down. "Shoot," he said wondering how much she had heard about the successful opening of his new lingerie store. "Shoot, is exactly what I feel like doing to you," she said putting her hands on her hips. "What's the matter?" "You fired Amanda." "I think Amanda is gay and she was hitting on the customers," Skeeter said. "Are you sure it wasn't because you wanted to be the one to go into the dressing room with the girls?" "No, it's not that," he lied as he poured himself a drink from the decanter on the coffee table. "That's what she said." "She's lying. I really think she's gay Jan. I can't have a gay woman working in a lingerie store," he said taking a sip of the straight Bourbon as his eyes widened. "Did you tell her that you fired her because she's gay?" "I don't know Jan. What difference does it make?" he said taking another short sip before placing the glass on the coffee table. "She might sue us," Jan said. "For what?" "Discrimination." "Fine. Then let her." "That's easy for you to say Skeeter. I'm the one that will have to get you out of this. I can't believe this mess and that store just opened," she said rolling her eyes. "I'm not going to worry about it," he said remembering the overwhelming success he was enjoying with the new store. "Well, I called my lawyers and they'll be getting back to me soon. I hope you didn't create any other messes while I was gone," she said walking to the sofa and taking a seat beside him. "No, you should be happy I opened the store. It's off to a good start." "Great. Well, I sold the upstate mansion and I have two other properties I might close on this week. I know how much you've always wanted to travel. Maybe the two of us should take a trip and leave that stupid store to a salesgirl to run," Jan said leaning closer to her husband on the sofa. "I don't have anyone that can run the store." "We'll hire someone," she said kissing him on the cheek. "Jan I'm running a successful business now. I don't want to travel," he said getting up and walking towards the window to look out. "Fine," she said reaching for the tabloid newspaper on the coffee table. She unfolded it and her mouth dropped open when she read the headline "New Village Lingerie Store Proves to be Casting Couch for Girly Magazine." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
