Starlene called out as she closed the door to her sister's apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "Yeah, in here," Tiffany called out from her bedroom. "Hi," Starlene said walking to the door of the bedroom and seeing her sister going through her closet. "Hi Starlene. How are you?" Tiffany asked taking dresses from the back of the narrow closet. "I was just on my way downtown shopping," she said tossing her purse onto her sister's bed and taking off her coat. "I wish I could go shopping. I just never know how long I'll be employed anymore," Tiffany said pulling out a two-year-old dress and appraising it. "What are you doing?" "Trying to find something to wear to job interviews," Tiffany said rejecting the dress and continuing to look. "You have job interviews lined up?" Starlene asked tossing her coat on the bed and taking a seat beside it. "No, but I think I should start looking around," Tiffany said giving up and walking towards the bed taking a seat beside her sister. "Has something else happened?" "No, it's just that I've worked for Clark for years and since he married Nicole my job has been hell." "I know but Tiffany there aren't that many party planning businesses that are doing well right now. Where would you look?" "I don't know." "Maybe you better just stay there until the economy gets better." "That's easy for you to say. You don't have to work with Nicole." "What's she done now?" "She's got this new lover Charlie. She called him and they are planning to see each other while Clark's in Connecticut giving his parents an anniversary party." "Well what do you care Tiffany? If Clark is stupid enough to stay with her, what do you care?" "I do care. I care because that means Charlie will probably be at the townhouse during the day while I'm there," Tiffany said frowning as she thought of the possibility. "Oh... and they would be doin' it upstairs while you try to work," Starlene said knowingly. "Yes, that's right." "Well why don't you call in sick at the last minute while he's gone then she'll have to do your work," Starlene suggested. "Clark might fire me." "But you're ready to quit." "I guess you're right," Tiffany said getting up and pacing towards the window of her bedroom that overlooked Bleecker Street. "I wish you'd come look at this," Tiffany said her voice filled with disgust. "What?" Starlene asked as she walked towards the window to stand beside her sister. "It's that girl that Skeeter hired out there putting up fuchsia balloons," Tiffany said. "I saw him hanging a sign in the window when I came in. It said 'opening soon'," Starlene said. "Oh great," Tiffany said dreading the opening of her ex-husband's lingerie store on the ground floor of her apartment building. "Get a load of that salesgirl would you," Tiffany said as they watched Amanda climb a ladder near the window of the store. "She sure is masculine looking" Starlene said. "Yeah and I hear him calling her Mannie," Tiffany said laughing as they watched Amanda jump down from the middle of the ladder. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
