Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday November 24th 2003 "Hi Clark," Tiffany said as she took at seat at her desk. This was her first day back to work after her sister's disastrous party. The lover's triangle that her bosses wife Nicole had created had cost her both lovers and almost caused her to lose her job. "Hi Tiffany. Are you feeling better?" he asked. "Yeah, a lot better now that I still have a job," she said forcing a smile. "I'm sorry I was so hard on you before," he said taking a seat in the chair in front of her desk. "It really wasn't my fault that both Brandon and Amir showed up as my date at Starlene's party," she said still pained as she remembered the incident. "I know," he said watching her face closely. "I'm glad you finally see it that way," she said remembering how he had almost fired her over the incident. He was so angry that Brandon had called and canceled a party that Clark was scheduled to plan for him. "Well, someone talked to me and told me it would have been unthinkable for you to invite both men. I see it wasn't your fault." "Who talked to you about it?" "Vinny," Clark said remembering the long conversation with Nicole's mob boss father's associate. "Oh. So Vinny did talk to you?" "Yeah. Let's just forget the whole thing." "I'd like to. I don't know if I can though," Tiffany said. "Why?" "I've lost everything except my job now." "You haven't heard from Brandon or Amir?" "No," she said feeling tears coming to her eyes. "It will work out Tiffany. You'll see," he said as Nicole came down the stairs into the living room. "Hi Tiffany. I see you finally made it back to work," Nicole said smiling. "Yes Nicole." "I guess there was a mix up of some sort," Nicole said taking a seat on the sofa and leaning back as her skirt rose up on her thighs. "A mix up?" "The two dates you had at the party," Nicole said watching Tiffany closely. "I invited Amir to the party. I think you must have put Brandon's name on the list after I left that day," Tiffany said. "I did not," Nicole lied picking up a magazine from the coffee table and opening it. "Okay, that's enough. Let's just drop the subject okay?" Clark said. "I didn't bring it up," Nicole said tossing the magazine back on the table. "Yes you did," Tiffany said. "And you're the one that set me up." "I did not," Nicole lied as she got up from the sofa. "Clark are you going to let your secretary talk to me this way?" "Come on Nicole... It was just a mistake," he said grabbing her arm as she walked towards Tiffany's desk. "I won't take the blame for the mess she made," Nicole said resentfully. "I'm not blaming anyone. Let it be. We have work to do," Clark said. "Really what work? We haven't had a party in ages. That party for Starlene was the only thing you've had booked since I've been back," Nicole said. "I have a party booked for next week," he said. "Oh really?" Nicole said pulling away from him. "Yes, my parents are having their anniversary party. I have to call them now. The two of you try to get along. Okay?" he said glancing at his watch as he rushed up the stairs to his office. "I'm glad he'll be going to Connecticut next week," Nicole said walking back to the sofa and taking a seat. "Why so you can have your lover Charlie come over again?" Tiffany asked. "You better not ever tell him," Nicole said as her eyes narrowed. "And you better not ever do anything like that again Nicole, ever," Tiffany said as her eyes pierced Nicole's bitter stare.
