Starlene asked as the two sisters walked over the cobblestones of MacDougal Alley. "I think that Clark might fire me," Tiffany said pulling her scarf up around her neck in the cold November wind. "Well, we both know that Nicole's the one that set you up to look like a floozy", Starlene said. "Yeah, but I'm the one that has two lovers," Tiffany said. "That newspaper article was something else," Starlene said referring to the reports of Tiffany having two dates for the party at Arqua Restaurant the other night. She had invited Amir, not knowing Nicole had phoned Brandon telling him to come as Tiffany's date. A photographer for the tabloids was there and took a picture of Tiffany and Brandon leaving the party. "It's freezing out here," Starlene said as the chilly wind hit her legs in the short skirt and fishnet stockings she was wearing. "Let's go over there to the Washington Square Hotel Restaurant and have some coffee," she said pointing across the street. "Okay," Tiffany said running across the street to dodge a cab. "Do you really think Clark is going to fire me?" Tiffany asked as they picked up their pace when a motorcycle raced towards them. "I don't know Tiffany. He might. He hasn't had many parties lately and he's pretty upset about all of this," Starlene said opening the door to the restaurant as Tiffany followed her inside. "Two?" the waiter asked coming towards them with menus. "Yes," Tiffany said as the sisters followed him to a booth in the back. "Coffee?" the waiter asked. "Yes, two," Starlene said as they slid into the booth. They watched as the waiter left the booth and walked towards the front of the restaurant. "You know I really wanted a chance to confront Nicole," Tiffany said taking off her coat and tossing it on the seat. "She lied to Clark. She said that you invited Brandon to the party. Oh well Tiffany, you'll never convince him otherwise now that she's doin' it with him again," Starlene said knowingly. "Yes, can you believe that! I mean they haven't slept late since before they got married. The one morning that she got me into all of this trouble and lied, she kept him in bed late." "The sad thing is that Clark is too naive to know." "Or he doesn't want to know." "True," Starlene said taking off her jacket and placing it on the seat beside her. "Well, well," a familiar voice said as the two sisters looked up. "Vinny," Starlene said surprised to see Nicole's mob boss father's friend walking towards them. "Mind if I join you's?" he asked smiling broadly. "Yeah, sure," Starlene said as she felt Tiffany's fist hit her in the thigh under the tablecloth. "Well we aren't staying very long Vinny," Tiffany said. "I ain't gots forever myself," he said taking a seat in the booth next to Starlene. "How are you Vinny?" Starlene asked as she felt him push closer to her. "I'm okay." "You must have been in Florida working with Nicole's father. I haven't seen much of you lately," she said noticing her hair in the reflection of his sunglasses. "Yeah, I been doing some work in Florida. I've seen plenty of you's lately though," he said with lust in his eyes. "That old man gots you a job in Playbody Magazine I see," he said adjusting the gold chain on his neck as he remembered the image of her in this month's issue. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
