Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday November 6th 2003 "See you this afternoon Clark", Tiffany said as her boss walked towards the door of his townhouse to leave. "Call the restaurant and make the reservations after Starlene brings her party invitation list by, okay?" he said. "Sure, I'll take care of it," Tiffany said. Nicole walked out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee. "Nicole are you sure you don't want to come with me to see my parents?" Clark asked as he stood in the doorway. "No. I don't want to go to Connecticut," she said taking a seat in the chair in front of Tiffany's desk. "They really miss you Nikki," he said pleadingly. "No! I don't want to go to the country today. I told you before I might not ever go to see them again," she said as her eyes narrowed. "Okay honey," he said clearly disappointed as he closed the door. "You don't like Clark's parents?" Tiffany asked as Nicole took a sip of her coffee and watched her husband through the window as he unlocked his car. "I can't stand them," Nicole said blowing on her hot coffee before taking a sip. "Oh," Tiffany said looking down at her paperwork hoping Nicole would go back upstairs and leave her alone today. "What's the matter with you?" Nicole asked putting the coffee cup on Tiffany's desk. "Oh nothing. I guess I'm a little jittery about Starlene's party," Tiffany said referring to her sister's party. "Oh that. It's no big deal really. Clark has done much larger parties than this little thing," Nicole said resentful that Starlene was getting so much attention after her picture appeared in Playbody Magazine. "It's not that. I know Clark and I can certainly handle the party." "Then what is it? It seems to me after working at my husband's party planning business this many years you wouldn't ever be nervous about a small affair like this one." "It's really not the party planning or anything that I'm worried about," Tiffany said starting to feel defensive about her job. "Then what is it?" Nicole asked frowning and clearly losing patience. "I just don't know what to wear to the party," Tiffany said not wanting to divulge the real problem. She couldn't decide which lover to invite Amir or Brandon. "Oh look at the time. He'll be here any minute now," Nicole said glancing at her watch. "Do we have an appointment?" Tiffany asked quickly looking at her appointment book. "No, this guy I met is supposed to stop by this morning while Clark's at his Mom's." "A guy?" "Yes Tiffany, it's not a business appointment either," she said grinning broadly. "Look why don't you go shopping and look for a new dress for the party?" "Oh that's okay." "No, look I insist," Nicole said. "Really I can't, what would Clark say?" "Nothing. He'll never know. I'll be right here to answer the phone. We don't have any appointments." "No really," Tiffany said shaking her head. "Yes, really. I insist," she said reaching over Tiffany's desk and closing her appointment book just as the doorbell rang. They both glanced up at the window in the living room to see a handsome young man smiling at Nicole through the window. "You better hurry Tiffany. I've been waiting for a chance to be alone with him for a long time," Nicole said getting up and starting towards the door. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
