Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday November 5th 2003 "Isn't that great that Stanley hired me to give Starlene a party?" Clark asked as he watched his wife Nicole preparing to go out for dinner. "I don't know," she said dropping the towel from her freshly showered body as she stood in front of the closet of their bedroom. "I really need the business. I haven't done any parties in months now," he said picking up his tie from the bed and putting it around the collar of his shirt. "What did you think of Starlene's picture in Playbody Magazine," she asked turning to look at him. "It looked okay," he said glancing up to see her watching him. "Okay? I saw you staring at it for fifteen minutes," she said feeling a chill on her damp body. "I did not. I just looked," he said turning the collar of his shirt down over the tie and glancing up at her. "Aren't you cold standing there near the window with no clothes on?" he asked noticing the effects the draft from the bedroom window was having on her. "Oh! So when it's me you don't notice! When it's Starlene you can't keep your eyes off of her," she said as her eyes narrowed. "That's not true Nicki," he said smiling hoping she wouldn't start another argument with him. "It is true! I saw you staring at the magazine. You barely looked up. Stanley almost had to pry it away from you." "That's not true." "Yes it is. You're lying Clark." "No I'm not Nicki. Now get dressed so we can go out to dinner." "Listen to you! I stand here with nothing on and you tell me to get dressed and you can't keep your eyes off of the picture of Starlene all air brushed in that stupid magazine." "Are you jealous Nicki?" he asked smiling. "That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard! No. I'm not jealous of that fat little idiot," she said referring to Starlene. "Okay. Calm down. I don't want to fight with you again." "Again? That's the only relationship we seem to have Clark. Since I came back all you do is worry about not having any business. I think you still have your mind on Alexis," she said referring to the woman she had caught him with when she came back from Florida. "Nicki, we've been through all of this a million times. I was only seeing Alexis because you left me and told me we were getting a divorce." "You almost let her move in with you. You're a womanizer," she said taking a dress from the closet and tossing it on the bed near him. "Get dressed honey. We'll go have a nice dinner," he said lowering his voice hoping she would calm down. "I don't do anything for you anymore do I?" she said picking up her underwear and putting them on as he watched. "That's not true Nicole. Every time I try anything you push me away," he said remembering how much he had wanted her to love him again. "You're repulsive Clark," she said stepping into her dress and reaching behind her to zip it instead of asking him for help. "You don't mean that Nicki?" "Oh yes I do. You think that just because I stayed with you after Alexis that I must not be attractive to other men," she said taking a seat on the bed to put on her shoes. "I know other men like you Nicki." "I'm going to show you a thing or two. I'll teach you to stare at pictures of that bimbo Starlene." "Nicki don't do anything foolish," he said remembering her affair with Stanley before they married. "I'm going to show you and Starlene both what I've got," she said picking up her purse and walking towards the stairs. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
