Skeeter asked as his ex-wife's sister walked towards the storefront where he was standing on Bleecker Street. "Great Skeeter. You know my picture will be in Playbody soon," she said referring to her photograph that would soon be featured in the men's magazine. "Yeah, I think you're going to make it big." "I hope so. I'm ready," she said stopping on the sidewalk in front of his store. "How's it going with your new store?" "Good. I'm almost ready to open. I get in new merchandise every day." "Great. I bet you'll make a fortune," she said looking at the sheer lingerie he had in the window. "Let me ask you something," he said frowning. "Sure." "You think I should make everything real expensive or cheap?" "Well, I don't know. What kind of customers do you think you'll have?" "I thought I'd have all these NYU students coming in," he said taking his cigarettes from his pocket and lighting one. "They have money. NYU isn't a cheap college," Starlene said not having any clue what it costs to go to school in the city. "Yeah, you know you're right. And too I had this one guy stop by this morning and he bought a little red bikini set... I charged him top dollar because he was in a limo," Skeeter said still reeling from the big sale. "Then don't put price tags on the stuff. Make everybody ask you what it cost. Then you can mark it up high if they look like they have money," Starlene said glancing up and seeing Tiffany in the window above looking down at them. "Good idea. I might do that Starlene. You're smart. How's it going with getting Stanley to marry you?" he asked referring to his older father-in-law. "I don't know. I haven't pressed too much lately. We've been so busy with social events and then my picture coming out in Playbody and everything." "Too busy becoming famous, maybe you won't want to marry that old man after all," Skeeter said blowing a smoke ring. "I don't know. I think I'd still like to marry him. I better go, Tiffany's expecting me," she said hitting the buzzer to Tiffany's apartment on the outside of the building. "I don't think Tiffany's home from work yet. I've been here all day and I never saw her come in," he said thinking about how he enjoyed staring out of the front window of his store. "She didn't work today," Starlene said hitting the buzzer again. "Oh? You mean she's been home all day?" "Yeah." "What's the matter? Is she sick or something?" he asked glancing up towards Tiffany's window. "Oh no. She's fine. She was just a little tired after attending the theatre opening last night," Starlene said referring to the opening of Brandon Douglas's new theatre on Broadway. "That was last night? She went to that?" "Yeah. I did too. Didn't you see the pictures of me in the newspaper today?" "Nope. I didn't get the paper," he said. "I was in there in my low cut dress. It was a great write up. I'll save the picture and show you some time," she said as the buzzer sounded and the door opened. "Tiffany was there?" "Yeah," Starlene said as she pulled the door open. "Wait a minute Starlene," he said grabbing the door. "What does that guy Brandon look like?" CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
