Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday October 13th 2003 "Tiffany, it's me," Starlene called out as she unlocked the door to her sister's apartment on Bleecker Street. "In here," Tiffany said yanking a Kleenex from the box beside her bed and wiping her tear stained cheeks. Starlene locked the front door and walked through the living room noticing Tiffany's dress from the theatre opening last night was thrown on the sofa and her shoes were next to the coffee table. She walked down the hallway towards the bedroom and glanced in the door to see her sister in the bed with the blanket pulled around her face. "Are you sick?" Starlene asked walking into the room as Tiffany struggled to sit up in the bed. "Yes, I think I'm dying," Tiffany said as more tears came to her eyes. "I phoned work and Clark told me you called in sick today," Starlene said taking a seat on the bed beside her sister. "Yeah." "What's the matter? Are you that upset about last night?" "You damned right I am." "I'm sorry Tiffany. Did Brandon call you?" "No, he never called. I watched on TV when I got home and I saw him at the China Club after the opening dancing with that girl he was with." "So Brandon and Lilly went to the China Club," Starlene said raising her eyebrows. "You know her name?" "Yeah, they were at one of the parties Stanley and I went to." "Did he say anything about me?" "No, there were so many people there I didn't get to talk to him." "It's over with us and it's over with Amir too." "I didn't see Amir and that tiara wearing woman he was with," Starlene said wishing she had worn a tiara herself. "Amir probably married her without even telling me. He never even told me he was back in this country. I thought he was on his island. Now I know. I know what a fool I've been with both of these men," Tiffany said grabbing another Kleenex from the box. "Oh, don't worry Tiffany. They'll call you today and explain," Starlene said thinking how she'd dump both of them if she was in this predicament. "It's too late. I'm never going to see either one of them again." "That's the right attitude, start all over again. You have a new apartment. Now find a new man," Starlene said smiling. "Oh sure. I'm so desirable. I know the phone will be ringing off the hook all day." "Cheer up Tiffany. Look I've been invited to a lot of parties and you can go with me." "Well…." Tiffany said blowing her nose as she watched Starlene pull a newspaper from her bag. "Look!", she said unfolding the tabloid and turning to page two. "I made today's newspaper," she said pointing to a picture of her on the red carpet last night as the photographers were scrambling to get her picture. "You look good honey," Tiffany said glancing at Starlene's voluptuous bosom in the low cut dress. "Read that," she said pointing to a paragraph in the article. Tiffany took the paper from her sister and focused her burning eyes on the paragraph below the picture. "It's been reported by reliable sources that Stanley Morgan's young date will be featured in the next issue of Playbody Magazine. Morgan has a knack for choosing future centerfolds and rising stars. Several of Morgan's prior girlfriends have gone from the centerfold of men's magazines to the center stage of the big screen. His latest love certainly possesses all of the right stuff to become a starlet and coincidentally her name is "Starlene". Keep your eyes on this lovely from the Appalachian Mountains, it looks like she's going to be a quick climber to the hills of Hollywood." "Nice," Tiffany said as the phone rang on the table beside her bed. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
