Starlene called out as she closed the door to her sister's apartment on Bleecker Street. "In here Starlene," she called out from her bedroom. "Hi!" Starlene said walking into her sister's bedroom and seeing the bed covered with clothes. "I'm glad you're here. Maybe you can help me decide what to wear to the opening," Tiffany said never looking up as Starlene walked into the room. "Is Brandon taking you after all?" Starlene asked referring to the wealthy theater owner that Tiffany had been seeing. He had told Tiffany previously that he had to escort celebrities for the opening night. "Yeah," Tiffany said turning to watch Starlene shove a dress to the side of the bed and take a seat. "I got really angry with him. I told him if I couldn't go with him to the opening then I didn't want to go out with him anymore," Tiffany said with pride. "So he's picking you up and everything... like a date?" "Well, it's not exactly like that. I mean I'm trying to understand that he has to be with all of these big shots and everything." "So what's different then?" "He's sending a limo for me." "Oh. You mean you won't be walking the red carpet with him?" "No. He said I couldn't do that. He has to walk the red carpet with some of the stars from the Broadway show or something like that," Tiffany said resigned to her fate. "I don't really like it Tiffany. I mean sending a car isn't that much of an effort after the two of you have been intimate and everything," Starlene said. "Well, I'll see how it goes. At least I'm going to the opening." What's going on with you? You sounded so excited on the phone," Tiffany said as she took another dress from her closet for consideration. "I am excited. My dreams are all coming true," Starlene said unable to contain her excitement any longer. "What?" Tiffany asked turning to glance at her sister as she held up a dress in front of her. "I'm going to be in the next issue of Playbody!" "No," Tiffany said dropping the dress and hanger on the bed as she stared at her younger sister. "Yeah! Stanley finally arranged the whole thing for me!" "Oh Starlene. I wish you wouldn't do that," Tiffany said worried about the impact this would have on their parents and her sister's future. "I'm so excited Tiffany. They're doing a write up about me too. Stanley told them all about me." "Why would Stanley change his mind like that?" Tiffany said taking a seat on the bed beside her sister. "Well, they're mentioning Stanley too. I guess that helped to push him a little." "I see. So will they have a picture of Stanley in the magazine too?" "I don't know yet, but they'll mention him. He told them how I moved here and met him. They're going to put the picture of me that was taken in Skeeter's store," Starlene said getting up from the bed and walking towards the window. "I hope Mamma and Daddy don't ever see it Starlene," Tiffany said thinking about their parents in Georgia. "They won't. Just don't tell them, okay?" "What if they find out?" "They won't! Just don't tell them okay?" Starlene insisted as her eyes narrowed. "Okay," Tiffany said watching Starlene walk towards the window and peer down at Bleecker Street below. "What's the matter?" Tiffany asked as she watched Starlene's expression change. "Come look," Starlene whispered motioning for Tiffany to come to the window. "Look there's Skeeter with another woman," Starlene said as Tiffany's ex-husband Skeeter stood on the sidewalk in front of his store with a red haired woman smoking a cigarette. "Look at him putting his arm around her!" Tiffany said unable to hide her jealousy. "She looks like a tramp," she said watching the red haired woman smile as Skeeter pulled her closer to him. "Jan will get him and it won't be long," Starlene said referring to Skeeter's new wife and her lover's daughter. "I hope he has to close that store," Tiffany said. "Not now. The ad for his store is coming out about the same time I'll be in Playbody," Starlene said. "Damn, that won't do anything but help him," Tiffany said as they watched the red haired woman kiss Skeeter on the cheek. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
