Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday September 19th 2003 "Hey there Starlene," Skeeter said opening the door to his wife's home as she and her older lover Stanley walked into the living room of Jan's Upper East Side mansion. "Hi Skeeter," Starlene said as he kissed her on the cheek. "You two go in and make yourself at home," Skeeter said motioning for them to walk into the living room as he closed the door and locked it. "Glad you could come Stanley," Skeeter said in his slow southern accent. He watched as his father in law and Starlene took a seat on the sofa. "I'm sure you are," Stanley said sarcastically as he took a seat on the sofa. Starlene sat down beside him and immediately glanced around the expensively decorated living room. "Wow, so this is where you live?" Starlene asked. She watched Skeeter as he walked into the living room. He stopped at the coffee table and poured drinks from the decanter. "Look, I'm going upstairs to talk to Jan for a while," Stanley said taking his glass of wine that Skeeter poured him and getting up from the sofa. "I'm sure the two of you will enjoy catching up," he said walking towards the stairs. "Okay, Stanley. I'll be right here," Starlene said as she watched him walk up the stairs towards his daughter's office. "I'm so glad you came tonight Starlene," Skeeter said walking towards the sofa and taking a seat beside her. "It feels kind of weird to tell you the truth Skeeter. I mean you were married to my sister Tiffany and now you're married to my lover's daughter. Life surely has brought us together a lot," Starlene said in her southern accent as he handed her a glass of wine. "To us," Skeeter said proposing a toast as he touched her wineglass with his. They both took a sip of their wine and placed the glasses on the coffee table. "This is some mansion. Stanley's place is nice like this too. You know I moved in with him?" she asked proudly leaning back on the sofa. Her voluptuous bosom strained the knit of the low cut red sweater she was wearing. "Yeah, you told me the other day when you stopped by my new store with Tiffany," he said reminding her of the surprise when they had all run into each other on Bleecker Street. Tiffany and Starlene had been having lunch across the street from where Tiffany had just signed a lease on a new apartment. They had been shocked to see Skeeter working in the empty store for rent below Tiffany's apartment in the same building. "That's a nice store I've got, don't you think?" he asked eyeing her bosom. "Yeah, it looks like a nice space." "I'm doing pretty good for a poor boy from Georgia, don't you think?" he asked smiling broadly. He remembered the many nights they had shared a bottle of wine from the Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the mobile home that he shared with her sister Tiffany in Lillard, Georgia. "Yeah, look at us now," she said thinking about how far they had come. "One of these days maybe you can get the old man to marry you," he said referring to Stanley. "I'm working on it." "You have to make him need you. He's gotta be in a position that he can't live without you Starlene," Skeeter said picking up his wineglass and taking another sip. "I work on that every night," she said raising her eyebrows and smiling. "That don't hurt Baby. But you know... men like Stanley get all the women they want with that kind of money," he said placing his wineglass back on the table. "Stanley loves me," she said clearly annoyed. "But you need a hook Starlene. Look Baby, you know I'm on your side. I want to see you have it all. We've come a long way together Starlene. I think I can help you," Skeeter said leaning back on the plush sofa. "You? You think you can help me?" "Yeah. You seem shocked. But take a look around Starlene. I'm not just livin' here with Jan. I'm married to her and I own half of all this stuff. I can help you own half of everything Stanley owns too," he said confidently. "How?" she asked in a whisper when they heard the voices of Jan and her Father in the office upstairs. "I have a plan," he whispered. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
