Stanley called out as he closed the door to his Upper East Side mansion. "Yeah, I'll be right down," she said applying another coat of lip-gloss before rushing towards the stairs to go down and greet her older lover. "Hi honey," he said smiling as he watched her voluptuous bosom shake as she walked down the stairs in her low cut dress and high heels. "Hi Stanley, I'm so glad you're home," she said eager to tell him of the events of the day. "How was your day?" "Oh I can't wait to tell you," she said as he kissed her on the cheek and they walked towards the sofa to take a seat. "What happened?" he asked hoping she hadn't fired his housekeeper after twenty some years of service. "Tiffany and I were having lunch on Bleecker Street today." "How's your sister?" he asked picking up the decanter from the coffee table and pouring himself a glass of wine. "She was fine," Starlene said taking the wineglass he offered her. "What's the matter?" "She rented a new apartment on Bleecker Street because she wanted a place of her own. You know she's started seeing Brandon and Amir is coming back from his island soon." "Good idea," Stanley said taking a sip of his wine. "Well, guess what?" Starlene asked watching him closely. "Amir asked her to marry him?" "No, no. That would be great though. No. Skeeter has rented the vacant store right below Tiffany's new apartment," she said referring to Stanley's new son-in-law and Tiffany's ex-husband. "No!" Stanley said as his heart started to race. "Yes. She's so upset." "Jan never said anything to me about this," he said. "Maybe she doesn't know," Starlene said. "Of course she knows. She has to know. How else would Skeeter get the money to open a store," Stanley said pouring himself another glass of wine. "That's true. Gee, I hope Jan will get so mad that she'll make him back out of his lease, cause I talked to Tiffany a few minutes ago and she can't get her money back," Starlene said before taking a sip of her wine. "I'll find out now," Stanley said picking up the cell phone from the coffee table and hitting speed dial. "Morgan residence," the housekeeper answered. "Ilona is Jan there?" Stanley asked. "Yes, Mr. Morgan. I get her," Ilona said in her broken English. She placed her chubby hand over the phone and called Jan's name. "Hello Father," Jan said as she picked up the phone. She glanced at her reflection in the mirror as she sat at her vanity getting ready to go out to dinner with Skeeter. "Jan you helped Skeeter get a store didn't you?" Stanley asked. "Yes Father." "Why didn't you tell me?' "I will certainly see to it that you're invited to the opening Father," Jan said as she opened her jewelry box to look for her favorite diamond necklace. "Have you seen the store?" "Of course. Skeeter's my husband. Don't you think I would have gone over to see where I'm investing my money?" "Can you get out of the lease? "No he put it in his name," she said as Skeeter walked into the bedroom with a towel wrapped around him, fresh from the shower. "Did you know that Tiffany signed a lease on the apartment right above Skeeter's new store?" he said referring to Skeeter's ex-wife and Starlene's sister. "No, are you sure?" Jan asked as she watched in the mirror as Skeeter lit a cigarette. "Yes and she can't get out of her lease. Sounds like you better divorce him, it's just going to get more difficult," he said wishing his daughter would soon come to her senses. "But, Tiffany will just have to get out of her lease," Jan said glancing in the mirror to see Skeeter standing behind her listening to her talk on the phone. "He's not worth it Jan," Stanley said. "I'll be the judge of that. I'll talk to him now," she said hanging up the phone and turning to face Skeeter as he dropped the towel from his freshly showered masculine body. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
