Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday August 22nd 2003 Tiffany peeped over the swinging doors of the kitchen where she worked. She saw Alexis run her hand over the leg of Clark's pants and kiss him lightly on the cheek. "I think we should tell her," Alexis said as Clark dropped the mail on the coffee table. "I don't know," he whispered. "Why don't we wait a while." "She'll know. She's smart," Alexis said as she massaged the inside of his thigh. "Let's see how it goes," Clark said. The tray Tiffany had in her hand with drinks for them touched the swinging door and Alexis and Clark turned to glance her way. "Here are your drinks," Tiffany said as her face reddened. She walked through the swinging doors into the living room where they were seated on the sofa. "Thanks Tiffany," Alexis said taking a drink from the tray. "How was your day Tiffany?" Clark asked taking his drink. "Good. During lunch I looked at a place on Bleecker Street and I put a deposit on an apartment," Tiffany said watching Clark's face closely. "You did?" he asked shocked by her news. "Yeah, I want my own place. I haven't told you yet, but Starlene moved in with Stanley," she said referring to her younger sister and her much older lover. "Wow. That's big news. That means Starlene is one step closer to getting Stanley to marry her," Clark said. "That's what she hopes," Tiffany said walking towards her desk and taking a seat. "Stanley never let Laney move in like that," he said referring to Stanley's previous young lover. "He let her stay over nights but never really move in. This is quite a step for him," Clark said thinking about the wealthy older client of his. "I hope it works out for her," Tiffany said. "Why do you need another apartment just because Starlene moved out? I don't get it," he said. "Because I've been living in Amir's apartment all this time. He's been on his island for weeks now and I feel I need my own place." "Oh. I see. Because you started dating Brandon," Clark said smiling. "I don't know if you could say I'm dating Brandon. I mean he's always in California. I just thought I needed a clean start," Tiffany said taking a seat at her desk. "I can understand that," Clark said. "Now's a good time to tell her Clark," Alexis said. "I don't know," he said in a hushed voice. "You may as well. If you don't, then I will," Alexis said. "Alright... Tiffany," Clark said clearing his throat. "Yes?" Tiffany said as her heart raced with fear that he was getting ready to fire her after she had put a deposit down on the new apartment. "I think Alexis might be joining us here at Manhattan Party Planning," he said before swallowing hard. "Oh, congratulations," Tiffany said watching as Alexis touched his leg with her hand and smiled at him to continue. "Tell her the rest Clark," Alexis said tapping his arm with her elbow. "Alexis is thinking about moving in with me too," Clark said as his eyes dropped to the floor. "Really?" Tiffany asked as Alexis scooted over closer to him on the sofa. "Yes, she'll be bringing over some things tonight," Clark said. "Well, congratulations again," Tiffany said. "I told you things would be changing around here didn't I Tiffany?" Alexis said. "Yes. You did." "Tell her the rest Clark," she said tapping him again with her elbow. "Not now. That's enough," he said getting up and walking towards the stairs. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
