Tiffany called out as she closed the door to their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "In here," Starlene said curled up on the sofa flicking through the channels on the television with the remote. "I thought you were going out with Vinny tonight," Tiffany said walking into the living room and taking a seat in a nearby chair. "Vinny did come over," Starlene said muting the sound on the TV. "How did it go?" "Not too good." "What happened?" "Stanley called while Vinny was here. We were on the sofa getting pretty hot and heavy." "Oh, Starlene. I told you not get involved with Vinny like that," Tiffany said glancing at Starlene's voluptuous bosom in the low cut sweater. She started worrying about how far things had gone. "We didn't get that far." "Good. You should never see that guy again. He's with the mob in Florida Starlene. I wish you'd never let him in this apartment," Tiffany said glancing around the room as if something would surely be missing. "Oh he's not that bad." "Oh yes he is. He works for Nicole's father." "He's just a friend of the family." "Friends of mob families aren't exactly like friends of the Cleavers, Starlene," Tiffany said reaching down and taking off her high-heeled sandals. "Okay, okay. I've got your point," Starlene said. "Well, what happened when Stanley called." "He talked into the answering machine and said he was coming over." "Ah!" Tiffany gasped getting the full measure of the event. "Yeah. I had to beg Vinny to leave. He was really angry with me. He thought I was using him since Stanley wouldn't marry me." "And he was right," Tiffany said bending over to rub her tired feet. "Well, not really. I mean I was attracted to Vinny." "Glad to hear you use the past tense," Tiffany said leaning back in the chair. "Something was wrong though. I just don't understand," Starlene said biting her lip. "What?" "I mean Stanley didn't stay long." "Well, he probably had something else he had to do. Didn't he have a political gala in Washington tonight?" "He had canceled it." "Oh," Tiffany said thoughtfully. "Maybe he was angry because you gave him an ultimatum. "I don't know. I'm worried." "That Vinny will go after Stanley?" "No. I'm worried about Stanley. He asked me if I'd seen someone else." "What did you say?" "I lied of course." "So what are you worried about?" "Stanley left early. I mean we haven't been together in a while... You know," she said raising her eyebrows to imply intimacy had surely been the order of the night. "Stanley's getting really old Starlene. You might kill that poor guy," Tiffany said laughing. "If Vinny doesn't first," Starlene murmured under her breath. "Is there more to this Starlene?" Tiffany asked frowning. "I don't know. I just feel that something isn't right here. It's like Stanley knows and Vinny knows and I'm lying. I'm so confused." "I know what you mean," Tiffany said. "What? What does that mean? What happened Tiffany?" Starlene asked seeing the troubled look on her sister's face. "I thought you were with Amir tonight," she added. "I was but things are getting more complicated, now that I've met Brandon" Tiffany said taking a sip of Starlene's glass of wine. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
