Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday July 4th 2003 Starlene smiled as she opened the door to the apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "Hi Vinny," she said holding the door open for him to come into the apartment. "Hey Starlene. I'm so glad you called me. This is a nice place you got here," he said walking into the living room glancing around at the large apartment. He stopped at the entrance to the living room when he saw her sister Tiffany standing at the window looking down at the park. "Hey there Tiffany," Vinny said as he watched her turn to look at him. "Hi Vinny. Did Nicole get moved out okay?" she asked referring to this afternoon when he stopped by to help Nicole move her things from the townhouse where she works. "Yeah, Clark was upset," he said walking to the sofa and taking a seat. "I know," Tiffany said referring to her boss and his impending divorce to Nicole. "He'll get over it." "Vinny would you like a drink?" Starlene asked. "Sure, yeah. You gots any beer?" he asked. "Yeah, just a minute," she said walking into the kitchen. "I guess you're surprised to see me here," he said as Tiffany walked towards a nearby chair and took a seat. "Real surprised." "Me too. I gave your little sister there my card and I hoped she'd call. I never thought it would be today." "She really shouldn't have." "Cause of that old man Stanley Morgan?" he asked referring to Starlene's older lover. "Well, yes." "He's using her. That old man don't intend to marry her. Why should a pretty woman like your sister stay with him? Besides, he's been seeing Nicole on the side too." "Who said that?" Tiffany asked listening to the sounds of Starlene in the other room rummaging through the refrigerator looking for beer. "Nicole said so." "How do you know it's the truth?" "I don't know." "I know you work for Nicole's father and I don't mean any harm Vinny…" she said hesitating as she thought about the fact that Nicole's father is a mob boss in Florida. "Shoot," he said watching her. "Nicole has lied in the past." "Yeah, I know that. But Clark ain't exactly fittin' into Nicole's family either." "Vinny I don't have any beer would you like wine?" Starlene asked walking to the entrance to the living room. "That'll be okay honey," he said eyeing her short skirt as she turned and walked back into the kitchen. "You know Vinny... Nicole's father has been upset with Stanley in the past for his relationship with Nicole," she said referring to the threats Nicole's father had made to Stanley. "Yeah. That's why I'm here to make sure things go smooth with her leaving Clark. Her father wants to be sure Stanley ain't having nothing to do with the matrimonial difficulties they're experiencing here." "I doubt that. Stanley wouldn't be that stupid," Tiffany said. "He ain't that smart. He's lettin' that pretty thing slip away," he said watching Starlene walk into the living room with a tray and glasses. "Would you like some wine Tiffany?" Starlene asked having only put two glasses on the tray. "No. I have plans tonight," Tiffany said glancing at her watch. "I hope you didn't need the apartment?" Starlene asked. "Matter of fact, I do. Amir came home from his island this afternoon and he's on his way over here now," Tiffany said. "Oh wow. You haven't seen him since his wife died," Starlene said bending over to place the tray on the coffee table in front of Vinny. "Looks like there's going to be a lot of fireworks tonight," Vinny said as his eyes feasted on Starlene's bosom in the low cut sweater. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
