Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday June 19th 2003 Jan and her Father glanced at each other in shock and horror as they watched the evening gossip show on TV in the living room of her Upper East Side Mansion. "It's our believe it or not story of the year. Socialite Jan Morgan is said to have flown to Las Vegas for a quickie marriage to a lingerie salesman from Georgia. The lingerie salesman Mr. Skeeter Diamond recently divorced his wife Tiffany Diamond also from Georgia. Miss Diamond has been seen on the arm of many wealthy men since she moved to New York four years ago, including none other than Amir Hada. Recently Miss Diamond was seen with the theatre owner and heartthrob Brandon Douglas. Could it be true that socialite Jan Morgan is reduced to picking up the crumbs of this beautiful southern belle? We'll be right back with more local gossip about guess who? The Trumps," the announcer said with enthusiasm as the station went to a commercial break for a Broadway play. "Oh this is just horrible Jan," Stanley said holding out his glass for Ilona the housekeeper to refill with wine. "We'll sue that show," Jan said. "What good will that do? It will be in all of the tabloids next. I told you not to marry him," he said referring to Skeeter. "I hope no one other than my friend spotted him at the Plaza Hotel tonight," Jan said taking a long sip of her wine. "Did you see Nicole anywhere in the lobby," Stanley asked noticing that Ilona had taken a seat nearby soaking in the conversation. "No. But you said she was there. Tiffany told you right?" referring to Nicole husband's secretary and Skeeter's ex-wife. "Yes, she booked the reservation for Nicole. Nicole told Clark she was divorcing him, packed her bags and went to the Plaza, just like that," Stanley said waving his hand. "What should I do father? Kill him?" "No. I'll arrange for a divorce. It will be nice and quiet. It will be as if the two of you never married," Stanley said hopefully. "But I wanted to be married. I just don't know what to do," Jan said. "You better get rid of him now before he ruins your good name, the family name." They turned their attention towards the front door when they heard a knock. "You want me to get?" Ilona asked in her broken English. "Yes. If it's Skeeter... " Jan said shrugging her shoulders and never finishing her sentence as Ilona walked towards the door and opened it. "Hey Ilona, you're looking better everyday," Skeeter said smiling as the plump housekeeper opened the door and nodded towards the living room in an unusually somber manner. "Jan here?" he asked his voice quieter as he noticed the serious look on the housekeeper's face. "Yes, Mr. Skeeter your wife at home," she said watching the handsome southerner walk into the living room. He glanced towards the sofa and saw Jan sitting motionless never looking up when he walked in. He didn't see his Father-in-law Stanley in the chair across the room. "Hey Baby. Why did you leave me there like that? I wanted to explain things to you," Skeeter said as he spotted Stanley sitting in a nearby chair. "Stanley did you come over to have another family dinner with us?" Skeeter asked. "No Skeeter. I came by to tell you that you aren't going to be a part of this family anymore," Stanley said hotly. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
