Your Father calls on phone," the housekeeper called out in her broken English. "I'll get it up here in my office Ilona," Jan said walking towards the phone in her Upper East Side home. "Hello Father," she answered. "Hello Jan. Are you busy?" "Just getting dressed. I thought I'd take Skeeter to the new restaurant in Tribeca when he gets home tonight," she said glancing at her hair in the mirror. "Isn't he late getting home?" "Yes, a little," she said looking at her nails and wishing she had stopped by the manicurist today. "Did you talk to him?" "No, why?" "Jan I think there's something you need to know," Stanley said taking a seat on the sofa in his East Side living room. "What?" "Did you know that Nicole left Clark?" "Oh please. You mean you called me to tell me this gossip?" "It's the truth." "So what? Are you going to leave Starlene and go after Nicole now?" she asked remembering the affair that her father had with Nicole before she married Clark. "I never had anything to do with her," he said defensively. "Oh yes you did. Starlene caught you in the act," she said taking a seat at her desk and glancing at the clock. She noticed that Skeeter was already two hours late coming home from work. "I didn't call you to get into this," he said clearing his throat. "Okay. What's up? Did you find a property for Skeeter to open his store?" she asked referring to the fact she had promised to help Skeeter open a new business. "No, and I think you better sit down." "Stop with the dramatics Father and tell me why you called". "I don't want to hurt you Jan. But I told you that Skeeter isn't the kind of man you should have married." "Come on Father. I don't want to get into that again. Skeeter loves me." "Why do you think he loves you Jan?" "Father remember the other night when we spent the night at your house? Your bed is against the wall to my bedroom and those walls are thin. I'm sure you know by now Skeeter really loves me," she said proudly as she thought about their noisy hour of passion. "Jan that doesn't mean a man loves you," he said feeling his face burn as he remembered the humiliation he had endured. "I think it does," she said smugly. "Jan. I don't know any other way to tell you this but to just tell you," he said stopping short. "Please. I wish you would tell me whatever," she said tapping her nails on the desk bored with her father. "Nicole left Clark." "You told me that," she said sighing loudly. "Nicole went to the Plaza Hotel to spend the night." "Like I really care Father. Honestly." "Skeeter's over there with her," Stanley said. "How do you know?" she snapped. "Someone saw him there." "You're sure?" "Yes darling. I'm so sorry," Stanley said. "He's the one that's going to be sorry," she said hanging up the phone and running down the stairs towards the front door CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
